This place is in very shitty condition, definitely glad to be wearing the respirator for this one. There was a worker on the property which prevented us from checking out all the buildings, but this hotel building was pretty sweet. The roof access was nice, though it was so damn windy it felt like if I stood up high enough the wind would throw me over the edge. Around the 8:00 minute mark i got a close up of the guy.
That worker was definitely just a scrapper, sawing the metal in parts to sell off for money; he was trespassing just as much as you guys were. Also oh god, that constantly focusing camera :v
You think so? I mean, that makes sense but this place does have an active golf course on the property, I assumed they were preparing to open for the season. We ran into scrappers at another place trying to steal an industrial size fridge and actually scared them away. I know, that autofocus pisses me off too. I'll do something about it for future videos.

From what i can tell he's just hacking away at some iron for a bit of cash on the side. No sort of uniform, but that doesn't really say much as well.
oh yeah that focus sound fuck
yeah, he could've been a scrapper, i just don't want to take that risk either way. i'll go back soon and check out the indoor pool and everything.
Please do, i love your series. It's reminiscent of a professionally done tv series without all the restrictions.
creepy but interesting.
What was the place called? So much history shame its forgotten now.
I think the auto focus sound adds character.
Cam used?
I thought it was the masks you guys had on making that sound, but it was your camera focusing? Huh. Well, the videos are neat. Like exploring friggin a Chernobyl kind of deal, without actually being in there.
Even if he was a scrapper, you would do best to avoid them. They might think you'll call the cops or that you're security or something and attack you. If they're desperate enough to risk trespassing charges who knows what else they might do v:v:v [editline]4th April 2012[/editline] Also your videos have way too low a view count for something that good, keep it up!
I always love these kind of videos. Very well made as well.
Those playhouse balls creeped me out a little.
Yeah, he was a scrapper. There's lots of scrappers around here, with all the abandoned farms around there's tons of scrap metal lieing around most of the time, mostly from old vehicles and equipment. If he isn't wearing any safety stuff, like vests or hardhats, he's most likely a guy looking to get an extra buck. I've run into scrappers before, I'd be careful. Some are decent folk trying to get by, but some are nutters who can't work normal jobs and can get pretty insane sometimes.
The fuck is that terrible noise during the ENTIRE VIDEO...
The fuck is that terrible noise during the ENTIRE VIDEO...
Auto Focus [editline]4th April 2012[/editline] We have tons of neat abandoned buildings nearby, mainly businesses, but I would probably be arrested for Trespassing with Intent of Theft. I would love to take home all of the business records, letters, notes, and stuff like that just for historical parts of buildings.
