This music isn't for everyone, as there's always somebody who has to hate on it. Nevertheless it's a neat video.
[sp]Goes batshit crazy at 2:10[/sp]
>implying dubstep isn't commercial music
This is music?
I am sorry but dubstep is bullshit, sounds like a broken sound card to me or some shit.
It's a silly kiddy fad.
>implying dubstep isn't commercial music
Real dubstep isen't.
This is Brostep, which is commercial. Irony.
hahaha acting like this electronic music has any kind of artistic value and isnt the same as the shit thats played on the radio. brilliant.
Was pretty cool until 2:09

I don't like the things other people like therefore it's invalid.
Give me a break. People enjoy other things too.
I personally held my own grudges against dubstep back when all i had heard was shitty dubstep like skrillex and any youtube shit derived from it, but modestep is really fun to listen to. I realize that not everyone is going to enjoy dubstep, I just like it because I used to be really into 90s techno and hardstyle like DonkyRollers and Atrocity. If anyone does want to listen to some better dubstep I would definitely recommend listening to Art vs Science and Nero

Everyone can like whatever they want, I never told you guys not to like this.
The problem is in the very essence of the "message" this video tries to spread which is:
"Shit on the radio is horrible and this electronic music is better."
Which is just not the case, because it is backed by the same primitive patterns, "harmonies" if you want to call them even that and work techniques.
Basicly like a retard who just shit himself while laughing at another retard who pissed himself. The same league.
I dont wanna tell you what to like, just dont act like your "music" has any artistic value and is better than other music when it clearly isnt.

That would mean that no music has any artistic value then? Cause the people representing each genre will always think that their music is better, am I right?
This is not even good dubstep.
Also, the faces of the cartoons makes my eyes and brain hurt.

If you knew Modestep you would know they are joking. The whole video is not to be taken seriously at all.
Would have been more interesting if it wasn't comically animated at the interesting parts.
Funny - I liked it up until the breakdown.
[sp]4:46 was cool though[/sp]
I'm a longtime and frequent dubstep listener, but this song is shit and a horrible example of it. It's no wonder so many people have a misconception of dubstep when crap like this is posted around.

It's barely even dubstep, no idea why it's on UKF.
I find it odd that people have managed to create a genre out of pitch shifting one type of sound effect.

I find it odd that you would say something so stupid.
I hope you have good speakers:

Not doing a lot for me, must be my 'speakers'.
Dubstep is the only genre of music that warrants turning the bass up all the way.

For example, people think the Mona Lisa is a work of art. To me? Fucking bullshit, who gives a shit.
Subjectivity, my friend. That shit cray.
Best Modestep video ever

my subwoofer is going insane
I'm not a fan of dubstub, the old and new stuff. I seldom if ever hear a track i can actually enjoy and which doesn't annoy me. This group though, they've changed that, i actually like the tracks i'm hearing from them. They aren't just BASS DROP WUUUUUUUUUUB WUBWUBWUB WUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUB with all sorts of other god-awful sounds going on in the background. This is more tolerable, i can listen to this and actually hear the music and the bass properly fits and isn't over done at all. The video, however, is rather dumb. Stylish, but dumb.

Yes, because your view of artistic value is the same as everyone elses.
Get off your high horse.

This sounds like a broken sound card?

You guys claim dubstep's shit, but this is exactly the position punk was in during the 90's.
People thinking they're musical geniuses, claiming that all dubstep artists mash some fucking noises on a macbook (which is only ever used live). When instead (as a producer my self) it takes fucking ages to perfect a song of any genre, and takes twice as long to ensure it appeals to an audience.
So it's probably time to just stop acting like a child and get on with it, because music is constantly changing, and sometimes you'll find that you will think it sounds like shit, but that's probably what people were thinking about the music you listen to 10, maybe 20 years ago.

Skrillex isn't dubstep, he's (usually) complextro. His songs usually aren't at 140bpm-ish and sometimes are not half time.

As opposed to say... rock, where you press down on strings to change the pitch of one sound effect?
