From what I'm hearing from him, it sounds like he doesn't know too much about the contract or didn't look too much into it. I have a shit contract with Machinima and I get more, but he has so much more negotiation weight with 600k subs. He's vague enough where I it could be the network, him, or both.

Since Curse is a revenue share, I'm going to go out on a limb and say Dunkey has incredibly low CPM because his videos are hard to advertise against, this isn't the networks fault, it's his.
Sounds like he should just make videos for fun instead of trying to make money out of them if he's having this much trouble. I'd prefer that to his content changing to make if more market friendly or whatever.
Also last I heard was that Nintendo dropped the whole revenue claiming thing, wish I could find a source for that though.
These videos are a troll and a parody, not many people get that. I'm pretty sure he's never been partnered with Machinima.
If you watch several of his Super Mario 64 videos it becomes REALLY obvious the whole thing it just a joke.

I think he was partnered with Machinima, I remember his youtube page banner/background having a Machinima label at one point, and seeing as how he was in a TGS Guns of Icarus thing so seems like he's partnered with them too.
These recent Super Mario 64 videos are just troll videos, not really meant to be serious. This was his previous video:

The whole depression thing in his SM64 videos is just a running gag for those videos solely. He's still the same Dunkey in each of his other videos.
If they are joke videos, that tends to make more sense, since the information he gave is quite incorrect unless he has like 999,999 out of every million viewers blocking ads.
They are troll videos, but they have truth in them (the one about his girlfriend or whatever happened after his girlfriend or whatever left him / he left her for real)
