Oh god, the part when it displays the fences being unarmed brings back memories.
ah ah ah, you didn't say the magic word!
Probably the most obnoxious thing I've ever seen a computer do.
Whats this operating system called anyway? DinOSaurs?
Saw it again the other day at IMAX for the first time since it came out. Everybody in the room burst out laughing when the girl was like "WOW! AN INTERACTIVE CD ROM!"

Well let's see. There's a Macintosh HD icon, so this is a Mac.
However, considering that it is a Unix system, and Lex knows this, and the movie is set in early 90s, it can't be Mac OS - it wasn't Unix-like until OS X.
Therefore it is running A/UX - Apple's version of Unix, developed from 1988 to 1995, which matches the movie's setting.

How is that possible?
I'm not even opinionated, you have to see it. It's on like every top 100 film list evar.

I dunno, I just don't watch a lot of movies. So in the end I haven't seen a lot of classics, stuff like Lion King and etc.

Still awesome
Hey, this is a unix system, I know this!
I am not a computer nerd... we prefer to be called "Hackers".

The 3D file system navigator was actually a real program for SGI IRIX.
Its been ported to Linux and you can use it there, its honestly not very useful though.

Also, the computers in jurrasic park were supposedly running IRIX or Unix, but the boxes sitting on the desk were just Apple mac performas, and the OS 9 => wasn't Unix based
