Cant wait for this game
I like it
"You can choose to unleash a disaster on your city and start building again" ... Because there's no saving. I'm glad this video at least shows that we can have some proper sized cities, or at least bigger than what we originally saw. But no saving is bull shit
I don't understand why is there no saving?
I don't understand why is there no saving?
Because ~Social Play~
I like the look of it, but the no save feature is a bit piss. Also, that guy's moustache is mind blowing.
I don't understand why is there no saving?
Because there is no saving IRL. They are taking simulation to a whole new level.
Also, that guy's moustache is mind blowing.
I want to touch it. Just to make sure it's real.
I don't understand why is there no saving?
Because your cities also effect other peoples online cities and their gameplay. [editline]27th November 2012[/editline] Lemme elaborate. It obviously saves, but I don't think it will let you load a previous version (its like an online game now, so you will have to be online DRM or not)
I'm going to build a cesspool of a city, the type of city that attracts the scum of the Earth. Then, I'm going to build a really advanced infrastructure, to help these low-life criminals get about. Finally, I'll sit back and watch the rats pour into other cities and wreak havoc.

I'm pretty worried looking at those cities. In the previous ones you usually had to start small and build upwards, leading to normal family housing and dirty industry in the outskirts of town, and a big area in the middle with lots of skyscrapers. The cities shown in this video looks like someone took the big business district out of a major city and placed it in the middle of nowhere. Leading to me believing that the game doesn't have such high standards for what areas big business would actually form in.(As previous simcity games had) What I'm saying is that it's not realistic(and probably not fun) when you get to build a big city just when you started out. Getting to the city level shown in the video would take hours of careful planning in Simcity 4, and that careful planning is where two thirds of the fun is!
Man, imagine the FP Simcity collabs with this game!
Man, imagine the FP Simcity collabs with this game!
Having a massive facepunch region would be so fucking amazing. It would either go really well or really really badly.
Having a massive facepunch region would be so fucking amazing. It would either go really well or really really badly.
Our SimCity 4 collabs went great, so I'm guessing this will be even better.
I want to create a MASSIVE eco-city. I will provide you all with green energy :)

I will buy this game purely because of that man's name and moustache.
really exited about this! I love planetside, battlefield.etc but im still a sims & simscity fan at heart. I signed up for the BETA ages ago but still no sign of it, anyone else know?
I bet the game will be useless in 5 years once they shut the servers down.
I'm ok with that, aslong as the successor is available :)
I want to create a MASSIVE eco-city. I will provide you all with green energy :)
Entire lot nothing but Wind Turbines. Just.. Hundreds and hundreds of them. No homes. No offices. Just Turbines
I still don't get it. The plots are smaller. Smaller than the previous game. You are going backwards. Games aren't meant to get smaller. I want to believe this is going to be good, but it just seems so watered down.

I think it should be easier than before because it was really hard, but not too easy.
Entire lot nothing but Wind Turbines. Just.. Hundreds and hundreds of them. No homes. No offices. Just Turbines
I tried that in SC4 except with garbage dump. I just made a massive garbage dumped and tried to pay for it with the pay of other cities storing garbage. I didn't have enough cities to make it profitable though.
Our SimCity 4 collabs went great, so I'm guessing this will be even better.
Well if by great you mean cities getting deleted all the time, being overwrited, some people using cheats and fcking up the RCI-demand... Visually speaking it was pretty great though.
I'm gonna make Detroit, and unleash the worst of the criminals upon your cities. Then once I'm done, I'll destroy all the police departments, leaving only one with shitty funding.
What's sad is I probably won't buy it since it's likely to be Origin-exclusive... ...oh and the whole "you can't save" thing
I'm ok with that, aslong as the successor is available :)
I'm not, at all. Why can't they just separate the online and singleplayer modes?
