[sp]omg smoking man[/sp]
Excuse me a moment. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Okay, I'm better now. I'm so fucking excited and next year is the return of Twin Peaks.
[sp]omg smoking man[/sp]
Looks like the season 10 comic really was canon. So that means [sp]krycek[/sp] might be back, but because Chris Carter didn't write that part in the cannon you might not see him, however he did help write bringing back [sp]the lone gunman[/sp]
i don't know anything about the season 10 comic. is it any good? is it finished?
Man Skully is like 90% forehead now, holy shit.
[sp]omg smoking man[/sp]
Didn't he [sp]die super hard in season 9?[/sp]
Didn't he [sp]die super hard in season 9?[/sp]
[sp] ye he god shot dead by a hitman after talking to molder about becoming his lacky[/sp]
[sp] ye he god shot dead by a hitman after talking to molder about becoming his lacky[/sp]
[sp]That wasn't even it, he showed back up after that and then was in a building that got blown up by an attack helicopter.[/sp]
i don't know anything about the season 10 comic. is it any good? is it finished?
I've only read the outline for each issue and putting money aside for the most likely omnibus coming. (25 issues)
[sp]That wasn't even it, he showed back up after that and then was in a building that got blown up by an attack helicopter.[/sp]
I was curious on season 10 and why X was on the cover, so I read the outlines on wikipedia. [sp]"More Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man"[/sp] [sp]The man who spent his life hiding the truth from the public will now have to uncover it if he is to make sense of how he mysteriously returned from the dead.[/sp] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_X-Files_Season_10
I hope there's still monster of the week stuff.
I hope there's still monster of the week stuff.
It's a mix of mythology and monster-of-the-week episodes :) One with the best title: Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster
Holy shit, I've been rewatching all the X-Files episodes for this season, I'm so fuckin' hyped for this! :joy:
Man, Gillian Anderson looks so different now. I love how they're talking about more recent issues too, such as the NSA spying on people. For a show about government conspiracies that's perfect. Can't wait for this season, even if it's going to be really short and most likely be the last X-Files we'll ever see. The X-Files is my favorite show and I never thought I'd get to see Duchovny and Anderson reprise their roles as Mulder and Scully one last time.
Let's hope this is an awesome mini-series and that they do max 2 seasons if the first mini series is done! Monster of the week episodes are awesome!
I am on season 8 of X-Files first time watch through. I have enjoyed it very much, it can get a bit slow but I do enjoy it. Seeing the trailer with out even finishing the last season currently I still feel hyped for it.

I didn't even fucking watch X-Files but god this looks really fucking sick, I'm really happy for fans of the show!
I just really hope they don't pander to the last season. It was good, but they have a chance now.

I didn't read the comic.
:snip: since the official one is out now
My mom used to be obsessed with this show when I was a kid and that's why I specifically avoided it. I kind of regret that now.
How was [sp]The Lone Gunman[/sp] brought back? I didn't read the comic.
wiki says [sp] they faked their deaths [/sp] so I don't know how or why. I'm not going to rush out and buy them up like I did with the buffy and angel cannon post season comics. Honestly I wished they would turn all the canonical season comics into cartoons like what they do to Japanese anime. Not like what they do with marvel comics, but with if you had something even with a hentai budget I'd watch the post movie firefly cannon. Also it can deal with not avoiding plot dumps that happened just in the comics, because however minor the new plot dumps would take up time for the TV audience to be introduced to, you can shorten it with the same TV viewer having watercooler talks. like [sp]smoking man coming back to life to be used in a plot he doesn't even know about[/sp] makes me wonder if they are going to not use [sp]the smoking man[/sp] in the plot at all or will be a big reveal because not everyone read the comics.
Honestly I kinda fell off near the end of Season 8. I finished everything, but I kinda thought it was all lame. Didn't really much care for the big overarching plot of everything, but [sp]the trial in the last episode had my blood boiling, just because of how one-sided it was. Fuck that prosecutor, and especially fuck Kirsch[/sp]

Not to shit on Robert Patrick - I liked him - but the story never really got interesting again. Even the last episode, it was just a quick wrap-up that left way too many open ends in my opnion.

The Gish-Patrick episodes honestly had nothing that matched X-Cops, Home, Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose, the Christmas episode where they shoot each other, Bad Blood, etc. Maybe Improbable came close? That one's definitely one of my favorite post-Mulder episodes.[/sp]
the official trailer is now up. Added it to the OP.
damn scully you look old
damn scully you look old
Mulder would still do her.

What about the more serious, kinda creepy ones, like[sp]The Host, Our Town, or post-Duchovny episode Badlaa[/sp] [editline]30th September 2015[/editline] Heck, I like nearly all the Monster-of-the-week episodes. Yes, it did get worse near the end, but there are some good ones. [editline]30th September 2015[/editline] I don't like the ones where [sp]the baddie gets away, like the episode where a fly thing runs a telemarketing company and the surgeon who stays immortal by making other surgeons kill their patients.[/sp]
