So you've probably seen this gun in every other FPS, I never knew there was only one in existence. Ian from Forgotten Weapons got to take a look at it [video=youtube;-VKGhqIl4Gw]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VKGhqIl4Gw[/video]
oh wow that was really really interesting.
I wonder if inserting magazines is a pain since the magazine grooves have to be aligned with the mechanism that rotates it. Also 17lbs, fuck that. :v:

Sounds like an overall sound design that would be pretty good when further refined.
So this is basically the AA-12 before the AA-12 that was never ever put into mass production? It looks like something you would see in a brown and grey space marines game
Oh god the bearclaw mines imagine walking around and then you suddenly get 10 shots of 12ga ripping up your ass [editline]13th September 2015[/editline] [QUOTE=NeverGoWest;48673672]So this is basically the AA-12 before the AA-12 that was never ever put into mass production? It was also in Far Cry 1 and Fallout 2.
Always been one of my favorite firearms because of just how unusual and creative it was. That and drum landmines.
I always knew this gun from Battlefield 2 where you had to unlock it by playing a shit ton of Engineer. I used the gun all the time as a badge of honor because it was so rare to ever see and I loved playing Engineer class. I didn't know the real gun was so rare. I thought it was a limited production run, not literally one left in the entire world. The way it works is pretty interesting too, and I finally understand what and how those grooves on the magazine do.

The AA12 is much like, say, an Uzi in mechanism while the Jackhammer is essentially an up-scaled revolver

The downside of its magazine is that it's impossible to make magazines of higher capacity, because that would require making its diameter bigger, while in AA-12 type of design you can use whatever the fuck you want as long as it has a compatible feeding end
I didn't forget this weapon, it was hilariously OP in the original Planetside for some time.
I.G.I had this gun too. My dad used to play that game.
Kind of reminds me of how lots of modern aircraft games have the Su-47 Burkut, but there was only ever one of it built in real life and that was back in 1997. [editline]13th September 2015[/editline] Also I think my first experience with the Pancor Jackhammer was from a flash game on Newgrounds.

This was my favorite weapon in Soldier of Fortune. Jackhammer+the dismemberment system was amazing

That blow-forward barrel action is crazy, I would love to see it being fired.
I never knew about the blow forward mechanism in this firearm. I guess that's why it's called the Jackhammer, huh. I really wish it took off.
love this channel, although my favourite videos are the ones where he talks about really shite guns like the Cobray Terminator
