After watching the shotgun gameplay, this looks like a better Doom 4 than Doom 4 did.
CHOP CHOP MOTHER FUCKERS. Well this game looks perfect.
I hope they add more defensive capabilities this time. I don't like having to dash around attacks with unclear hitboxes.
shh, be vewy vewy quiet, I'm hunting dick heads :v:
4 melee weapons and 5 guns? also this is looking uncomfortably borderlands-y with those damage numbers, the loot pickups and what i remember to be 4 player co-op
4 melee weapons and 5 guns? also this is looking uncomfortably borderlands-y with those damage numbers, the loot pickups and what i remember to be 4 player co-op
Damage numbers were in the original Shadow Warrior reboot and they boast that there's 70 weapon types available, so not just 4 melee and 5 guns. However the loot pick ups and co op are new but I honestly don't think it's going to really harm the game.
Damage numbers were in the original Shadow Warrior reboot
Actually they weren't.
Disliked the "Boss" battle. It was the same as the little-r dudes, except x2 bigger, with a higher HP bar. Action looks good though.
The devs mentioned at E3 that every player has Wang's perspective, while sees others as the ninja friends. Everyone gets to be Wang!
I've not played the first, but the combat looked a little...floaty? Hell, everything did. Movement had no feel beyond a camera holding a gun/sword and while the effects on the Enemies were impressive, it never really looked like his sword was hitting them.
Couldn't help but notice this texture on the floor. [t]http://i.imgur.com/Veewgmn.jpg[/t] I swear this texture is in every other game released.
"Who's ready for a little wang? Well I'm sorry, it only comes in large" I love this game already
Same here. Gameplay looks as great as Shadow Warrior, somewhat better too. But I'm also hoping that the story hasn't taken too much of a hit, since unless this is an early build, I don't think we have a Hoji equivalent moseying along with us.
Wait, wait, wait. This time, we get a shotgun doesn't suck big balls? Count me in.

That's how it should be. Weight is the last thing you need in this kind of game.
Wait, wait, wait. This time, we get a shotgun doesn't suck big balls? Count me in.
I don't get what it is about modern games having shitty shotguns, as if everyone including the new Doom forgot their lesson, but this one looks good if not basic.
i just know that valve is going to make the minigun a tf2 promo item i just know it
I don't get what it is about modern games having shitty shotguns, as if everyone including the new Doom forgot their lesson, but this one looks good if not basic.
Which is why we need to write down what makes an excellent shotgun. I imagine impact is one of the more important factors. Also I too would not put it past Valve to have that minigun be a promotional item in TF2 for buyers of Shadow Warrior 2.
Actually they weren't.
For everyone rating disagree, there wasn't. You're remembering it wrong. There was floating text denoting all the point bonuses for killing in certain ways, but no damage numbers. Anyway, I hope this game has cheats unlike the first one, but the online and RPG elements are kinda making it seem pretty unlikely
Fucking kick flipping enemies throwing projectiles. And for a moment, when he flipped the minigun to reload it, I thought it would become a rocket launcher.
I'm happy they put about half melee and half guns. I noticed as I played the first one I only used the sword because it seemed the most powerful/fun. If they balanced all of the weapons out in this one I could already see this as a better game in just that one aspect.
Here's hoping the game is colorful and has varied settings like the first. I noticed that they went more for realism and dropped the very subtle art style that the first one had. It looks very nice so far though. Gameplay-wise, all of the little abilities and perks need to be fun to use and serve some kind of play style that doesn't suck compared to other things. The healing powers in the first one were broken/essential and the others felt like fluff. It was too easy to just dance all over the place flinging Wing of Cranes into the mob and then run away and heal up. I wanted a reason to use all of the weapons equally and it didn't help that the bonus karma system was actually something like overkill/damage per shot. Also, sword hits could feel a little more crunchy and believable.
i just know that valve is going to make the minigun a tf2 promo item i just know it
No they won't, but a community content creator will do it for them.
Fucking kick flipping enemies throwing projectiles. That fucking shotgun reload :v:
I remember not enjoying Shadow Warrior when I played it, but this looks like fun. I guess I should probably try it again.
Do it. It starts off pretty slow and boring but quickly speeds up after you get the crossbow.
