Haha, I hope they didn't get caught. Knowing how to use a store's intercom is useful. After working at Kmart for half a year, I can now call assistance to anywhere I want when I shop there. I think they can't narrow down which phone calls the PA system, so that is why they didn't get caught, however it looks like they do switch phones on every one.

Brad Carter's site had a few stories about himself when he found out the extension for the overhead paging, he called the store pretending to be some technician, so he asked to be transferred to an extension, he gave them the number and they transferred him.
