Was just about to post this video funnily. This tech is honestly the first thing really to blow me away. This video really captures the strange beauty of it. Its such a mindbender to look at.

SWIR really fuckin kicked the bucket didn't it
this vid probably aint helping it lmao
SWIR's short for short wavelength infrared
SWIR's short for short wavelength infrared
I'd have to check longer-term trends to make sure, but maybe some stock managers saw it and didn't inform themselves about what they had.
I don't see the point of SWIR at all. Is it meant to be used in like dusk scenarios? Cus it seems totally pointless in night.

Woah, this is really impressive. Is it just a crazy kind of sensor or what?
I wonder how long the military's been using it. You know they must be
They're definitely not using it as a replacement for helmet mounted night vision setups. Perhaps for stationary or vehicle mounted, but they're clearly not mounting that fucking thing on your helmet. I'd be interested in a comparison with white phosphorus night vision intensifier tubes, as they're said to be the highest fidelity and clarity. Keep in mind that a PVS14 is much smaller and lighter than their camera, so the applications are still a bit limited.
Woah, this is really impressive. Is it just a crazy kind of sensor or what?
I imagine it works like the A7S, by having a massive sensor with bigger pixels than most sensors You get half the resolution, but you can pick up twice as much light

"In black and white, there's no color. Here's the side by side to prove it." Oh.
