No because pulling the trigger of a nailgun doesn't fire it if the safety is still on.

Nailguns don't have "safeties".
They only allow you to fire if there is pressure on the little barrel on the end.

Have you actually even used a modern day nail gun?
The nail gun has to be pressed up against something before it can be fired.
