The Link breaking jars thing is a gag that really needs to be put to rest.

Most video game jokes, particularly in gag-a-day webcomics, have been recycled for the last fifteen years.
Remember when Bioshock Infinite came out and suddenly "HAHA LOOK HE EATS FOOD TO REGAIN HEALTH AND PICKS UP FOOD FROM UNSANITARY PLACES" jokes were magically funny again?

At least we still have "Oh look bioshock infinite players think the story is amazing and complex haha"

Don't forget the classic "THIS CHARACTER IS CARRYING AN INFEASIBLE NUMBER OF WEAPONS. I WONDER WHERE HE PUTS THEM ALL? HAHA IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE I'M IMPLYING HE PUTS THEM IN HIS ANUS!"
Like literally every let's player, game journalist and webcomic has made this joke at some point.

All of these needs to be put to rest
All video game jokes need to stop before they happen.
the cake is a lie
I've always wondered why people complain so much about video game jokes. You never hear the same stuff about movie jokes, or book jokes, when movies and books also tend to be based around the same few ideas and thus get the same jokes made about them. Maybe it's due to the Internet running things into the ground, but let's face it: when you're surrounded by half of the planet, everything is going to be run into the ground if you don't directly try to avoid it.
Well there's "dumbledoor dies hueheuh"
Which has also been "He was dead all along", "It was his sled", "She's actually a man", etc, throughout history. Fun fact: Humanity like their recurring themes.
I had a Vinesauce Joel thing going on in the background and i didnt know. So I saw these jokes and heard him go "Yeah, i cant handle this. Right, lets do this, command prompt as administrator, format C"
At least we still have "Oh look bioshock infinite players think the story is amazing and complex haha"
And we will always have that.

arrow to the knee is the worst out of all of them
In Animal Crossing, you get an actual leaf furniture on April Fool's Day.
Metapod used harden
it failed
get it?
penis
Imo no joke is funny if you explain it, same for satirizing satire. Half the humor of a joke is its delivery, which is why comedic timing or the three-panel-rule are so important for example.

You know what I've noticed a ton from bioshock fans?
Fancy ass gif sets with meaningless quotes from the game added to make it seem indepth and thoughtful. I've seen this shit a ton for games like skyrim and mass effect as well and holy christ it's cringeworthy

Indepth and thoughtful quotes from Skyrim?
Like the only thing I remember from the main plot of that game is that some old Obi-Wans wanted me to beat up a dragon, and that the only character I can remember the name of was that old dragon who didn't want to be evil because he was an actual character and not a talking face that wanted me to move to the next quest.

Yeah exactly, that's why the whole thing is redundant
I was hoping the "GHAHAHAHA, Marty-o's on durgs" joke was going to be part of this.
I'm glad it was. That's one of the jokes that gets on my nerves.
But why?
Because it was never anything funny in the first place.
Quotes get recycled and that somehow leads to it becoming le ebic funny meymey xDD
