So meanwhile this video kind of exploded as I see this being shared more and more on twitter and facebook, had 3 death threats so far and i have several accusations of 'stealing' this idea of a video.
Next milestone is probably going to be that some large Facebook clickbait page will post the video on their page, gathering millions of views without a link to the original.
Its better just to ignore your video's shitty comments and accusations of "stealing ideas". A meme will live and die, it will just take some time.
Don't worry about it.
This seems extremely overboard. Is it really this drawn out or was it edited to be longer? :v:
Theyre in serious need of a choreographer. Like, what should be a display of how disciplined they are comes off as supremely silly.

Someone already stole it and reuploaded it to tumblr with no credit
Can someone explain why it's okay for them to wildly flail the gun around so that it is actively pointing at people in the background just watching? I'm not familiar at all with the rules and regulations in this kind of process but last I checked, any time you handle a firearm, even an unloaded one, you literally never point it at a single person, like ever.

It's tradition and ceremony. Those things sort of go hand and hand with "drawn out".

Because it's a ceremony weapon and it's not going to magically materialize a bullet and kill someone. The whole "treat everyone weapon like it's loaded" mindset is so it becomes habit and accidents don't happen. Exceptions are okay.

If I remember correctly, they're called "Drill Purpose" rifles and have no firing pin.
Yep.
The ones used during funeral ceremonies, however, do contain blank ammunition and are treated as live weapons (since they are), but that's not the case here.
the part where he's checking the barrel with the sweeping motions - i wonder how often trainees slide their hands straight into the business end of the bayonet when doing that?

I use to spin rifles back in high school ROTC. As long as they are demilitarized and have their firing pins removed, we can use them for the purpose of ceremonies or competitions. So while we can throw them as high as we can, we just couldn't hold and point them like a real rifle.

I'd assume they would keep their drill bayonets dull to avoid that scenario, wouldn't stop it from hurting though if they where to outright drop it like what happened a few years back:

I'm not seeing it to be honest. Looks to me like it landed between his feet, and I can't see the "oozing" blood at all. Maybe I'm blind but I'm gonna say no one was actually hurt there.

Could you post them here? I'm genuinely curious how this video could elicit a death threat.

That's crazy. If Storyful ever gets in touch with you I'd say go for it. I've worked with them before and basically they just monetized the video for me. In the end I still lost a lot of revenue because they took like 40% of the earnings but I did it more for a visibility thing rather than a "let's make a lot of money" thing. After about a week and a half the video I signed over monetization rights to ended up getting over a million views and I got 12k subs just from that, so I'd say "visibility" was achieved.
If that shit doesn't interest you then just monetize it yourself. There are really only specific circumstances where I think signing over rights of a video is worth it. I made damn sure before I signed mine over that I would still have the freedom to monetize and upload future videos of similar nature on my own without their interference.

Nothing that big, two of them were ranting about how these people died for their country (??) and that I should not disrespect such things blablabla, apparently that video made someone go as far to say he'd kill my the next time I leave my home.
