I hope it's not another typical zombie game, but I have faith in Naughty Dog.

Best be very open world, games like that are very fun, usually.

Yeah, I'm tired of all this "Spooky science lab virus" generic crap in zombie stories.
I've personally thought of stories of fantasy / scifi style's in a modern age fashioned setting, zombie wise. Like some crazy voodoo god is awakened and pissed off, or a meteor from somewhere else lands and people start getting infected.
What I really want is a fantasy setting 1600-1800 zombie game.
this looks perfect
fuck you and your ps3 exclusives, naughty dog
dumbs for no reason
I met the lead game designer of Naughty Dog, he's so awesome, he walked with me from the cinema to a presentation show we were both going to, really easy to talk to and gives you tons of advise.
So bill and francis turned into one person and now zoey is their daughter? Right...
I like the atmosphere, but I'm disappointed that there's zombies. Well, maybe not zombies in the normal sense, but in practice, they look to be just about the same thing. Why can't we have a survival game that's focused on surviving against the elements?
hey look it's ellen page

This looks incredible, also zombies look more like mutants or something.

If there's one thing I know Naughty Dog can do, its telling stories. I mean, Uncharted (treasure hunting) isn't exactly new grounds for video games, the vast majority of stuff now isn't. But they're very good at presentation and humanizing the people in the game and that's what I think is more important.
That girl reminds me of Juno
The main Character looks like an older Drake from Uncharted
The girls looks like Juno
The music sounds like it is from Left 4 Dead
The game looks like a mix of I Am Legend and The Road
and the zombie mutants, some one fill that in.
I'm so fucking sick of PS3 and Xbox exclusive games.
Whoa.
Thats on the PS3?

Apparently it's going to be about humans getting infected with something like this.

It's Ellen Page in that trailer.
It's pretty funny that they say it's in game footage, but you can see an obvious cut when they burst through the door to the actual PS3 footage.
Everything beforehand was obviously prerendered.
(Biggest tells are the sudden change in framerate, fidelity, and while earlier in the video had fully 3d volumetric light, when it's outside it becomes a lightray shader.)
It's like I Am Legend the game.
Just because I have the money to buy both a ps3 and this game, I'm not going to because that is exactly what Sony expects people to do when they payed naughty dog to make this a ps3 exclusive.
Fuck. I guess I won't play much of this then.
I actually wish I had a PS3 now.
ITT: We don't have a console that costs less than the Xbox 360 now.
Glad I still have my PS3. Looks bloody amazing, whether the trailer was partially rendered or not.
I really, reeeeeaaally hope this has unrestricted (save for city limits/borders/etc) free-roam. Along with a legitimate atmosphere of "I have to conserve my supplies, remain unnoticed, and find a way out of here before things get rough." You know that kind of atmosphere? Not the "Gotta wait for those crates and shit to respawn so I can Rambo my way outta this joint." I'm hoping this game will be difficult throughout its story, so it'll be a decent challenge (instead of the usual grind to level up a bit, sell a bunch of shit at a vendor, and then roam the wasteland gunning shit down in an instant that would otherwise devour you had you been in that spot just a few short levels ago.) I'm also hoping (but trying not to expect) large emphasis on exploration, since it just screams survival-horror. Search every last nook and cranny, closet and cellar, nurses office and medical corridor for supplies, food, ammunition, and so forth. Maybe there'll be some more human interaction between other people than the two main characters shown in the trailer.
It looks like the guy he kills in the beginning has spores coming out of his face too.
I'm so fucking sick of PS3 and Xbox exclusive games.
Naughty Dog is owned by Sony so they pretty much only develop PS3 games, but you're right it is really annoying. And it sucks for me because I'm selling my PS3 soon since I don't use it at all, and as much as I love Naughty Dog's games it really isn't worth keeping for one game. I'm sure it'll do fantastic though, all Naughty Dog games usually do.
What about Uncharted:Racing :(

RDR Undead Nightmare is probably right up your alley if you want something like that. Granted it is early 1900 Wild West, but the zombies and all the paranormal shit in it is caused by some ancient mask being stolen, and it is really well written and fun.
I also am quite excited for this game, this looks like it will be a zombie game that really delivers and stands out from the crowd of zombie games
Looks amazing.
But then again, so did the Dead Island trailer.
I'll wait to see some real gameplay.
