So typical Hollywood movies :P
Reminds me that my friends and I watched Elysium this weekend. The parts where the guy is working on the computer virus terrified me, because he was coding in ASM. [t]http://board.flatassembler.net/files/untitled_208.jpg[/t] The illusion was ruined when a slick UI popped up to the flavor of "Do you want to upload Fuck-Shit-Up Virus?" So close, Hollywood. So close.
didn't a study show that [sp]hacking a pacemaker[/sp] is actually possible and kinda scary how low-security they are?
didn't a study show that [sp]hacking a pacemaker[/sp] is actually possible and kinda scary how low-security they are?
They have pretty weak transmitters. The equipment medical professionals use to communicate with them have to be right up against the patient's body. It's probably better if there isn't strong security on them, anyway, since it would be disastrous if a hospital had to pull up a patient's file to shut one off if it malfunctioned or something.
