• Black Mesa: Source - The Tragic Wait (A video tribute)

Hello, Facepunch. I wish to share with you all a video I made exploring what Black Mesa: Source means to me. I realize it has little relevance to anyone else, but it was a cathartic experience finally coming to terms with the troubling troubles I held during these troubled times and I hope it, too, can help someone else in its own little way: Forgive me as I've already posted this before in the Valve/Steam/PowerPlay subsection, but as I dozed off last night, I realized this situation transcended far beyond a mere Source mod release. This isn't just about games anymore. This is about life. If there's one moral to take away from this, it's that time is a precious commodity. In 2006, I wasn't simply entering a Community Project for BM:S, but rather setting an arbitrary point of reference for myself to compare to at a later date that I nor anyone else was sure would ever come (aka Black Mesa's release). Yesterday, over six years later, I was suddenly forced to confront this truth head on. I remember that moment long ago clear as eggs and I can see how I've changed as an individual in that time. I am now inexorably lead to consider, where and who will I be six years from today? I hope you too can reflect on your own time since, after all, don't we all have our own Community Project 2 Winner in our lives? The other moral to take away from this is that the AI in Black Mesa is really bad.
