It has been a long time, damn.
I remember watching Cat Soup when they first released it and finding it god damn hilarious. Crazy to think how long ago that was.
I may had outgrown their youtube content, but I still have good memories of early early videos that they made.
Their pokemon one made in 07 or 08 stands out the most.
I remember their food battle videos. They were pretty fun, really. I haven't watched their videos in years, but I've fond memories.
I like his attitude though. He almost tears up during the first half of the video, then sounds confident and motivated towards the end. I wish the best of luck to him.

Smosh was the shit back then for me, honestly, they were from Sacramento which was very close to me and I always found that cool. I saw their pokemon video when youtube first became a thing and started following them. Always liked their videos.
It feels so weird to see Anthony leave, when I think of Smosh I think of both Ian and Anthony making videos together even though it's clearly something much bigger now.
If you go on smosh now it's just buzzfeed tier clickbait shit, but he's right once a media company has control you lose creative freedom and have to adjust your work to suit their advertiser needs
