Drill Sgts are the most hilarious thing to watch, but the most ass-clenching thing to be within five meters of when the knife hand comes. :v:

Uniform is jacked though. Shame.
I understand that being a General is a totally different skillset than being Infantry or whatever, but man you would really hope your military generals are at least able to shoot a rifle about as well as a 15 year old boy lol
Also, isn't there some kind of rule in the military where subordinate staff aren't supposed to talk shit publicly about superiors? I know fuck all about the military but I was curious how a drill sergeant is allowed to talk shit about a General in public.

Take into consideration that he may no longer be an active duty service member. He's a civilian now.

retired general, so perhaps the same rules don't apply
Maybe it's because I actually watched the video before rushing to make a zinger to it but it seemed pretty obvious that the general was going for rate of fire over accuracy. And when he says "fully semi-automatic" it's pretty obvious he is transitioning from that paced shot technique to just firing rounds as fast as he can pull trigger.
No excuses for the "tumbling bullet" meme though, and watching that reporter shoot had me equal parts amused and terrified.

Both of them are retired.
Angry Cops is actually a drill sergeant. He's in the reserves iirc
Drill Sergeants are just Professional Comedians that specialize in ass kickings, it's great
"probably shot himself instead of spending a night on patrol as one of your security details"
fuckin roasted
This guy's mannerisms and the way he rants makes me think he's Angry Joe's cousin.

Alternative theory:
This guy is alternate universe angry joe that joined the army and our timelines have collided.
edit:
Also mfw chicken wing stance.

He handles it like he's never seen a fucking gun before, my fucking mom would have a better stance than that just from replicating shit in movies.
reminded me of this

There's really nothing to suggest that the target the former general was holding up was his own. It's entirely possible it belonged to the reporter, or even that they were both shooting at the same target. Aside from that, the only points this guy makes is that the former general mispoke once and stated correct facts that, even though they might be obvious to someone who has an interest in guns, may not be obvious to someone who isn't.

Maybe the people who don't realize guns are designed to kill things should be worried about other things.

They probably would be less worried about people who like guns if people who like guns stopped shooting them so often.

This is an incredibly asinine thing to say and I actually feel sorry for you if you believe this. To so falsely and wholly equate the two very, very separate groups "people who enact mass shootings" and "people who like to use guns" is downright amazing.

Oh, sorry, no, I'm not equating the two. I was making a comparison, similar to Killer Monkey's that made it seem like everyone who doesn't know much about guns is worried about them.
[editline]oh hamburgers[/editline]
It's kind of a strange argument anyways. If anything, people who aren't informed about something have more merit to be worried about it than people who do, and the people who are informed sort of have a duty to inform them? His reply also had nothing to do with the post he was responding to, so I probably shouldn't have bothered replying to it in the first place. Woops.
At the same time, he shouldn't be acting as if his unseasoned opinion on the matter carries any weight, that's just fucking disingenuous.
This is really the crux of it. Even if he was a combat leader (which he was for a short time, though his last two commands were in Europe and TRADOC) I don't think his opinion is any better than a laymans, and I find it quite disingenuous for someone who obviously knows how all firearms function to be talking about the AR-15 like it's some kind of devastating weapon when the reality is that the "hunting rifles" that he would presumably be okay with can deliver far more grievous wounds. Who gives a shit how badly he shoots when he clearly isn't even attempting to fire accurately? It's a pointless zinger.
