Well, she is a very unique 'Mandalorian'.
Look likes its gonna throw away the darkness from the last few seasons of TCW and go back to that kiddish filler stuff in the first seasons
All these kids in Rebels is a deep philosophical message about the exploitative nature of war, and the suffering of child soldiers.
Can't say I ever expected a character like this in Star Wars.
These characters are dreadful, they're just cookie cutter disney heroes.
Not that the characters up to now have wowed me in any way, but this one seems really lame. Just seems like a cheap attempt to make a " cool gurl wit street smartz" character. I dunno we'll see.
this is literally the most mediocre thing i have seen in fucking ages.
i mean for fucks sake some of our second year group animation projects looked better than this.

I do hope Rebels is going to be good, so far it's mehing me. Right now it's a toss whether we're going to see the crew go around on funny adventures hilariously messing with the Imperials or we're getting a bleak picture of the Imperial rule with down trodden people, public hunts for Jedi, futility of fighting the Empire and most of all brutal violence. The only bad thing I've seen is the fact that Disney XD cancelled Motor City and Tron:Uprising, both considered some pretty damn good shows cancelled for almost no adherent reason.

Haven't we discussed this before? A lot of this being just promotional shit and not final product, hell the series is due to be out till this fall and it's only February, the quality shouldn't be too stressed already.
I just hope it goes down the The Clone Wars route and if it sucks at the start gets better as it goes along as the writers get better and get more leniency in making darker episodes.
This really doesnt seem Mandalorian to me...
Haha that armor design is awful. Looks like someone took a t-shirt and glued some metal plates onto it.
Could be worse. I bet you one of the characters is going to be some captured and reprogrammed trade federation droid.
ughhh why isn't this show faithful to the extended universe canon look at that armor ughhh why don't they make for the super niche group of star wars fans that probably won't watch it anyway ughhh its like its meant to appeal to kids ughhh
i have to agree with o'neil, nothing but her helmet expresses anything mandalorian..

Star Wars fans will eat up anything
What a shitty character design for a Mandalorian.
Were the final seasons of TCW any good? I stopped watching after the second one.

The later seasons of TCW were pretty awesome.

No excuse for bad writing and lazy design. Look back at classic cartoons and there's a reason they are still loved today. Do you think a year after this show stops airing people are going to remember it as people remember Samurai Jack, Dexter's Lab, Rocko's Modern Life, ect?
Obviously not everything has to be totally groundbreaking and incredible but you can at least make some characters that weren't literally lifted out of other stories, their first kid was practically Aladdin.
Sounds like the kind of character a 12 year old would come up with.

You can appeal to kids without it being terrible. I think that the best cartoons/animated shows are the ones that everybody can enjoy regardless of age. You can still enjoy a show like Rocko, Samurai Jack, the DCAU, Dexter's Lab, etc.

Holy shit the Zillo Beast and everything involving the Death Watch [sp]until they fucking ruined it with Vizla's death[/sp].
Yeah, this show is going to be shitty I think (also, too much rule 34, dear god)
what a shitty character design
Saying "it's for kids, the writing doesn't have to be good or original" is a shit excuse. Stuff with good writing like the DCAU and more recently Avatar were highly popular for everybody from the young kid audience to the teen audience to the adult audience.
Hey guys, I got an idea. Lets stick a Mandalorian helmet on our character and call them one; everybody is going to love it regardless of how shitty the character actually is! -The Developers
She should really have more armor, the helmet looks horribly out of place when there's almost no actual armor on the rest of her outfit. Not to mention armor is generally a good thing to have when you're expected to be around a lot of explosions.
That is the opposite of everything a Mandalorian is.
"She's a tomboy, she's not like a prissy little girl."
Mandalorian women are supposed to be like the toughest bitches in the galaxy, so I sincerely fucking hope she's a "Tom boy".
I like how she'd literally have the same character and personality if she wasn't Mandalorian.
I don't understand how these characters can create a character like this, and give them a backround that does not match their personality.
Like the other two characters, the Jedi guy has to not act like a Jedi, and thus he's rough around the edges, but still a good guy. The main character is pretty much a street rat, and has the clever rogue archetype personality.
This character is Mandalorian, and has 0 Mandalorian aspects besides weapons and battle tactics.
correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Mandalorians the race that decided to collectively just murder half of the galaxy cause they could
and later after that action lead to the vast majority of them dying horribly, the remaining population's general opinion of the event was "would do again"

They tried to conquer the galaxy because they're pretty much only good at fighting, then Revan kicked their teeth in and they've been bitter ever since.
Also they're not so much a Race as they are a Creed really. Mandalorians are just followers of Mandalore by the strictest definition.
And they're nearly extinct by the time of the Galactic Civil War, so I really don't get why they decided to throw one in here, especially a teenage one, unless they reveal she's just pretending to be a Mando, which would be an interesting twist at least.
