I feel like these people are both kinda dicks to begin with for doing what they do.

Who are they harming?
You're literally just saying this because the law says so.
The law only says so so the government can cover its ass if something were to happen.

If you fall off of this stuff, your body doesn't suddenly lose all mass. You're going to hit something hard. Whether its a person, a car, or pavement, you're gonna cause damage.
That didn't look like "da polis" but just a guy that works there.
Either way this is private property and you're climbing it for your own thrills and views probably. How would they like it if I climbed their house? If they don't mind I'm gonna need an address hahaha.
Not a cop I promise.
I have to imagine the kind of person who scales skyscrapers recklessly might not have a house worth climbing.

You can describe anything in this world with a gravely negative twist. Your attitude of "they're pieces of shit for what they're doing and should be prosecuted" will only pervade through time. Soon things you used to find wholesome and benign will become taboo and shunned; all due to other people with the same attitude you hold. Loosen up a little. You don't have to follow the book to the letter.

But you can't describe anything as actually putting other people and property in danger. People can actually die from having a climber fall on them. Most 'wholesome and benign' things, you're gonna have to twist really hard to get to "might kill people".

Yes, you can. I'm not going to do it in this post but if you really care to be proven wrong; I implore you to write any activity and I will argue how you should not do it due to causing potential harm to others.
You just wrote "people CAN actually die" because it's such an uncommon thing you had to make sure I knew it was actually possible in the first place.

It's not the potential of death, it's the vastly increased risk. For the same reason we allow driving, but disallow drunk driving. Free climbing is totally ok to do in approved areas. Urban centers carry a much larger risk to bystanders.(And involves trespassing on property to begin with)
You just wrote "people CAN actually die" because it's such an uncommon thing you had to make sure I knew it was possible in the first place.
I'm guessing it's uncommon because people breaking into and climbing tall buildings without safety measures is uncommon. Keep in mind the argument isn't just that people can die, it's that if you fall, you will damage something. Should people who own these buildings just accept random people trespassing and possibly damaging things on their way up and down? Should they just accept the risk of having your building be associated with some idiot's suicide?

I no doubt see your point, i'm just arguing against the venom towards what they're doing. If anything; introducing an apprehensive force is what causes the danger in these scenarios.
I would never do this shit, but I would also never call the police on someone for doing it. Nor want them arrested.
If anything; introducing an apprehensive force is what causes the danger in these scenarios.
Are you seriously trying to argue that calling the police causes climbing cranes or buildings without proper equipment to be dangerous? Are you fucking high?

Would you feel the same if it were your property? Where their injury can result in you being sued a huge amount of money because you failed to take the adequate measures to prevent someone from climbing your property? And you would be even more legally responsible if you knew about them climbing and didn't ask them to leave.
I hate the idea that you can get sued for someone else's idiocy, but that's the world we live in.

If someone was climbing on top of my house I would for sure be pissed off at them and wonder what the hell is going on but I wouldn't call the police on them... I dunno maybe I'm just not that kind of guy.
Maybe you just misunderstand where I'm coming from. I'm not saying you should be unable to prevent people from climbing on your building... Not what I'm talking about at all lmfao...

Sounds like backpedaling to me. The first person you replied to never said anything about the police, he just said the climbers were 'kinda dicks'. You implied that the only reason people object to it is 'the law says so' and should 'loosen up'. How would you stop someone who is actively trespassing on and climbing your skyscraper, without calling the police?
If these dudes were to get fined for doing this I think i'd be totally ok with it (since they are potentially causing a threat to other people), but I also don't really have any ill will toward them for doing what they do.
Also it makes my balls shrivel up just watching these vids

It's more people don't want to get killed because of someone else's dumb fucking decisions.
Grow the fuck up and drop the "lol just loosen up mayne" attitude
Damn, yall salty.
EDIT: Takes Salt to know it - I have an M.D after all...

Pot kettle black, there, sir.
I really don't approve of this, but fuck was that a cool video to watch.
That was intense, but I wonder if the police will eventually find them since they uploaded evidence. Also that one dude's face isn't censored.

Just for earlier; this is my sentiment. I don't think they're dicks for doing what they do.

Some of you do need to loosen up though, jesus christ.

It seems to me you're just thinking of the situation on paper and not thinking about how it might actually go down. And to tell you the truth we've gotten onto a topic I wasn't even talking about in the first place; but i'll follow it regardless.
People climbing high things they are never supposed to, is something that will always continue until the end of our days. It will happen regardless, there will always be people climbing things. Sending a task force to bring them down just introduces panic and fear into a situation where panic and fear cause you to slip and die.
Am I saying that you're completely wrong and I'm totally right though? No. Calm down. Of course it's not up to me how a building decides how to handle itself and the people on it.
I know your response to the second line is gonna be "So we just make it so you can't climb ANYTHING!", and sure you're probably right that is a lot safer for everybody; but down the line of time do you really want to live in the nerf world you propose? Do you have ZERO drive for anything that isn't explicitly stated for you?
Everyone! Party on grobs' House Tomorrow night. I'll tend to the pizza, someone bring ladders and booze. Let's Dance the roof into the fucking FLOOR!
Come on man
There's going to be a report logged somewhere because the cops showed up and even called a helicopter to assist.
How's South London when it comes to CCTV coverage? I know London has a shitload of them, but how about South London specifically?

The climbers were both sober and cautious. The cameraguy was especially very careful and deliberate with every step up or down he took.
At least keep apples to apples.

You are asking people who compare a bunch of guys climbing around on a at the time mostly empty construction project owned by a private company to film some cool footage and take some cool pictures of the London skyline to burglars invading someones house and causing an intoxicated disturbance to think like sane people. That is simply not going to work.
Jeez what happened around here, a few years back a thread like this would just be full of "holy shit they are insane" "that's cool" and "how are they not dead" but now everyone is just yapping on about the oh-so-poor construction company that likely makes millions on projects like these having a minor case of trespassing.
They didn't even vandalize or steal construction equipment, why are you guys so up in arms over something that doesn't affect you at all?
Who are they harming?

Honestly I'm surprised that in all of the replies to this nobody has mentioned what an insane liability it would be for a company to deal with when they found out two people climbed their massive building and fell off and died. That's why it's illegal, because it's a liability.
