i wouldn't be surprised if he made a fully functioning computer next
fuck me
fuck me sideways twice over holy shit
i wouldn't be surprised if he made a fully functioning computer next
I mean, if you have basic logic gates you can pretty easily make a working CPU. It would be massive and ridiculously complex, but you could do it. I wonder if the game would give real life results from flip flops.

It's reached the point where the only thing limiting Minecraft is the actual clock speed that it runs at.
So if I got this right, this was done by using features from the vanilla Minecraft? Or were additional Java plugins required to pull this off?
He said in the video that all of that was made in vanilla Minecraft with command blocks.
He said in the video that all of that was made in vanilla Minecraft with command blocks.
Now, the video is a bit long for me but how do you make an in-game creation output text into the chat in vanilla Minecraft?
commandblocks are still very limiting though and have yet to be properly expanded upon
i wouldn't be surprised if he made a fully functioning computer next
Already been done with pure redstone. And it was done several years ago as well, before the redstone update as well (update brought about many changes that let you run things MUCH faster and in a smaller space). Command block gimmicks like this let you essentially just inject arbitrary code into the game. It's of impressive, don't get me wrong, but it's not building circuits from the ground up. It may as well be just an abstraction layer. One with some hard limitations, but a layer nonetheless.
i've built an 8bit redstone computer before, it really is a fun little project to do.

I feel like Minecraft is going to inspire kids to do a lot of programming.
Mind showing us your work?
It was ages ago on my old PC, but I could help explain the concepts someday if I get free time
One day I at least expect someone gets a Dos emulator running in Minecraft and of course, play Doom
I wanna see someone play Minecraft in Minecraft.
