Pat Condell brings up incredibly valid points.
No he doesn't.
Incoming shit storm
No he doesn't.
yes he does.
I wouldn't mind if we wasn't such a god damned racist.
It's not a mosque holy fucking christ.
I like Pat Condell but I don't agree with him on this.
First of all he is misinformed and needs to understand that the mosque is what, 10 blocks away from Ground Zero? Number two, he sounds like he knows fucking everything about America. Number three, it's not insensitive, it's not like they're going to say, BURN DOWN THE CAPITALIST PIGS, they just built it there to show not every Muslim is "evil" and to promot tolerance. Fourth, there is a person funding this project. I found FOUR errors in the first 1:30. I'm not continuing trying to prove this guy wrong and has no fucking valid points.
Islamification? Who gives a fuck I'm an athiest I live in a shitty theocratic state known as the US where politicians base their policies on christian doctrine so even if this is true and it's not it's no better than what we already have.
is he a troll? he's really fucking dumb.
I wouldn't mind if we wasn't such a god damned racist.
Wow... Racist.. you used that word in your argument, well done. Racism is the belief that one race is better than another.
Clueless fool.
Who really gives an honest fuck? So what if there are gunna be muslims near the ground zero? So what if they build a COMMUNITY CENTER close to ground zero? WHY IS THIS SUCH A BIG FUCKING DEAL?
For those of you that just don't get it, the reason people are upset is because they don't know the difference between a muslim extremist and a plain old muslim. People informed about this know it's alright, but the point is that many families are still gonna be upset because they don't. If they really want to make a difference the news should stop exploiting the misinformed americans and instead tell them that just like the christian extremists who run camps screaming at very young children that jesus is the only way, these were extremists. News reporters are gonna milk this for all it's worth though.
Anyone who says islamification in a serious tone can blow me. This guy included. Ohh everybody run the mexicans are mexificating california hoooooohhh shittttt
Anyone who says islamification in a serious tone can blow me. This guy included. Ohh everybody run the mexicans are mexificating california hoooooohhh shittttt
I can say Islamification. It's a serious issue, whether you support it or think it's bad or just don't care. Islamification is a off shoot of Islamisation, which is an actual word. It's the process of turning into a follower of Islam- int he sense that he uses it, and is often used, it means the heavy immigration of muslims and the influence they hold in society and over government.
Meh regardless what he says it doesn't make a difference. The constitution is set in stone (at least it should be...) and the way things are there is no reason not to let them do what they are doing other then moral reasons.
I feel the same for different reasons. No, I don't think there should be a mosque there, but this is because of my hatred of most religions (the top three being christianity, catholicism, and islam), not because I think the muslims are trying to stick their asses on our graves (though they may very well be). I support free speech and free expression (and even free religion) provided that those rights don't constrain the free speech or expression of others. Unfortunately, in this country, wording is so huge an issue that there is constant debate about whether this or that is allowed under those rights. For instance, the mosque. If islam was anything but what it is: a religion that openly promotes hate, violence, and restriction or removal of the rights of others, then I would have little problem with them building a place of worship here. Unfortunately, a religion such as theirs has no place in a country based around 'freedom', and it's very existence and the debate it causes themselves restrict our rights to freedom when we try to accommodate to their will. When we allow someone to have power over us, we bet our freedoms on their trustworthiness and how they will use that power. In this case, we would be betting on a religion that would relentlessly attempt to take us down. By the way, assuming this guy is a christian, he's pretty much a huge hypocrite.
Pat Condell is awesome, but he is wrong here. See it is just a building, and I personally nor will anyone else be affected by the building. Religion didn't corrupt the nation, assholes did.
I've agreed with him on every other thing he's spoken about until this video arrived. He hasn't actually read about what the hell is going on. It's not even a Mosque to begin with...
Pat Condell is a fascist moron
What a smart man, I support him.
Why don't we ban Japanese from visiting Hawaii while we're at it
Why don't we ban Japanese from visiting Hawaii while we're at it
Banning the Mosque would be more akin to banning a Shinto temple in Hawaii. The connection is so loose it doesn't even deserve to come up in an argument.
What a smart man, I support him.
Same here.
i liked pat when i was like 15, but he's a demagogue - and that's all his arguments have no substance, other than the hate and prejudice that is the foundation of it his first statement that "Islam was the religion that murdered them [those in the 9/11] attacks", is so blatantly discriminatory that it was difficult to watch the rest of the video those building the community center had absolutely nothing to do with those in the 9/11 attacks (which was done for largely political religions); in the same fashion that christians in the united states had nothing to do with the murder george tiller to not allow this community center (with one small room devoted to prayer) to be built will be more of a lasting attack on America than 9/11 will ever be. to compromise our beliefs of: freedom of religion, the pursuit of happiness, and equality for all will be the biggest blow this country will ever see i fail to see how it is bad taste to build a "mosque" near ground zero - ordinary muslims do not equal the extremists who attacked the united states. they're not even remotely close. in the end, pat condell is a christopher hitchens without the brain or common sense [editline]02:14AM[/editline] you people are fucking retards if you agree with this sensationalist pig
Being anti-religion myself, I hate the idea of ANY religious building being built ANYWHERE. But of course, this is a country of freedom. If fucking Nazi Furries wanted to built a worship club for Cthulhu near Ground Zero, I would not try to infringe on their liberties, no matter how morally screwed they are.
I have a question: On every forum I've been to recently, there has been at least one troll thread exactly like this. Is there some particular reason EVERYONE IN THE INTERNET except the OPs becomes enraged over this topic?
Didnt know they were opening it on 9/11. I'm over 9/11, but come on, seriously?

An appropriate example would be building a baseball stadium (decorated with as much star spangled banners and hot dogs and crosses as possible) right next to Hiroshima, a couple years after the nuke was detonated. The Japanese would probably react the exact same way as Americans are doing now.
