Apparently in different language versions of the trailers they blow up different stuff instead of tacos
German has sausage blow up, British version has slippers and a british meal, french has salami, italian blows up "grandma's lasange", etc.
Having to wait 7 weeks for the PC version sucks.

I'm hoping they make the wait worth it, by getting the PC version into a worthy state. Haven't seen much about the beta though, kinda purposefully keeping my head in the ground about this game though so I can enjoy it more on launch.

The game runs and feels really fucking good on pc
They always try to make the trailers fun and then you get in and tonally the game is devoid of any humor and has its head stuck up its own ass.
From first impressions in the beta, the villain is generic as fuck.
I remember this very brief mention of an adviser to Ghaul who was the one that convinced him to make his power grab for control of the empire and go for the Traveler.
I think there's a non-zero chance that there's going to be a bad guy bait and switch.

It ran so well, I'm not sure why we have a 7 week delay

Cayde, the robot guy in the trailer, can actually be kind of funny. But most of that's down to Nathan fillion being the va.

cayde is always like this
cayde is always like this
And that's fine, but the rest of it just takes itself so seriously which might not be a problem in this one. It was hard to take anything seriously in the first game when all the context about what your doing or why is locked behind cards on a website.

What will myelin games and my name is byf do now?
this was barely live action

considering how in-depth the grimoire got with walls of expository text i'm wondering how they're going to get all that lore into 2
are they just going to put it into like, a regular menu now?

Ever since the initial Destiny 2 reveal there's been pictures of a lore button in the menus somewhere floating around but I don't think Bungie has elaborated on if that's the full grimoire or just the lore of whatever you're looking at
Just put a codex in jeez. Mass effect could do it why can't Bungie.

But they did.
It's gonna be in item descriptions and shit too
I hope hunters are better this time around. I like their design the most, but I barely felt like I was contributing much with strikes and stuff in the first game.

Gunslingers have a skill tree that makes it so that golden gun can now hit crit spots on enemies, and each crit spot you hit drops an orb of light, apparently the most supportive subclass in the game.
yeah gunslinger hunter is apparently the most light-orb generating subclass in the game.
non destiny peeps : light-orbs = give you more energy to use your super ability, which lets you use it quicker. you can't pick up ones you generate, but your friends can.
I know nightstalker was a god damn orb factory
I just want a good story from bungie, I hope this fufills that.
Remember these ads? I loved halo.

IIRC Nightstalker isn't in the game anymore but someone correct me on this. It's like how Dawnblade and Sentinel replaced Sunsinger and Defender.
Also apparently Fist of Havoc on Titans can be used repeatedly rather than just once.
They aren't as far as I'm aware right now, but I think someone found them in the game files or something.
I really hope they don't milk Cayde to shit in Destiny 2 because despite his bad jokes I really do like him as a character. That is saying if they haven't milked him enough already.

Every guardian type gets one subclass for each damage type, so there's arc, solar, and void.
We've seen arc and solar for hunter, the replacement class hunter got was arcstrider replacing bladedancer. As far as I know we have no idea what their void subclass will end up as, but it's not a stretch to think they might just give us a tweaked nightstalker.

the taken king classes are in the game if rumors are correct
