Although it is just a small bar downtown, it attracts the most fascinating people this side of dystopia. Keep your clients lubricated and you will be made privy to the most interesting stories. * Learn about daily life in the cyberpunk dystopia of Glitch City. * A branching storyline where your decisions do not depend on traditional choices, but through the drinks you prepare. * Visuals inspired by old Japanese adventure games for the PC-98, with a modern touch for an otherworldly experience. * Get to know your clients, their tastes, and prepare the drink that will change their lives.
Just came out today: http://store.steampowered.com/app/447530 Pretty much insta bought when I played the demo which can be found here: https://kiririn51.itch.io/valhalla-bar Can also buy the OST from their main site but I'm going to play through the game first
Love it. Very stylish with a killer soundtrack. Gives me a vibe reminiscent of Kojima's cyberpunk games.
Oh shit this is out, I remember the demo for this being comfy as hell, really been looking forward to playing this
I'm not really one who plays visual novels but the general premise just intrigues me. I'll get sold on cyberpunk without much difficulty and it focusing more on the everyday person just means i have to see it. Plus dat music.
I remember seeing some WIP's of this on the creators Tumblr, it looks really cool.
Prepurchased this over a year ago, and just finished my first playthrough after a single 6 hour sitting. Pretty damn good, and some of the best writing I've had the pleasure of playing through in a game like this. Ending leaves a bit to be desired but it was pretty great overall.

How long does this take to beat?
looks neato, i have 56 bucks in my account so i'm gonna buy it for me and a friend when the summer sale starts edit: i'm going to wait until the summer sale to see if i can get it at a reduced price
why not now

Screwing over your early adopters (and likely your biggest fans) like that would be a fucking idiotic move from the developer. Trust me, it's not gonna happen. Just grab it now if you're interested.

[del]hi rate this post optimistic and be entered in a raffle to win this game[/del] TOO DANG LATE SON
I completed a playthrough of it today, was fantastic from beginning to end. I definitely recommend people to check it out! [editline]22nd June 2016[/editline]
How long does this take to beat?
Took me around 8 hours for one playthrough, but I definitely missed a lot of things so it seems like it'd last you a decent while for the kind of game it is
$15 is pretty steep for a visual novel
$15 is pretty steep for a visual novel
It's not really a visual novel. It's more akin to something like Papers Please, just with more dialogue. That and I mean, there's VN's without a gameplay hook like this one that cost $50 if you wanna talk about steep.
$15 is pretty steep for a visual novel
15$/€ is perfectly acceptable for this one VN though and ive only played Snatcher before
If Anna Gream isn't your manager then the people that made this lost out on comedy gold!
$15 is pretty steep for a visual novel
it was $8 originally if you pre-ordered it (but they had a demo so it wasn't a blind pre-order anyway) but i think it's well worth the money considering it's quite well made in terms of visuals and sound and has a decent play time. Not even considering 100% runs
Can also buy the OST from their main site but I'm going to play through the game first
All of the jukebox music is actually in the game folder.
Just played the demo, promptly bought the game. Usual Steam sense is to wait a few months until a game costs pennies, but I think a small dev like this with such a stylish game deserves the launch price.

I got this on gog and fucking failed to pay my rent because I bought anime wallpaper and was short $400 like 5 days later. 10/10 game you got me good.
hoo boy i guess you don't know about killing floor 2?
Listen, I know it's not unheard of, but I was specifically talking about Sukeban Games here. Tripwire Interactive had culminated at least some amount of goodwill, and an existing fanbase with KF1 before they messed it all up. As far as I know, Va-11 Hall-A is the developer's first game on the market, and so they've gotta think about the first impression they're making. The way you DON'T go about doing that is by screwing over the players that had the most faith in your work! Shit, maybe I'm blowing this way out of proportion considering we're only talking about 15 euros here. Anyway, I'm really enjoying the game so far, and think that the price point is totally fair right now. If you're still on the fence, I'm sure the devs will be happy so long as you pay some amount of money for the game, be it the fifteen right now, or like five some months/years from now.
I got this on gog and fucking failed to pay my rent because I bought anime wallpaper and was short $400 like 5 days later. 10/10 game you got me good.
what happens if you fail to pay rent? do you just instantly lose?
nah you get the "bad ending" though its really weak. it can't even be called a bad ending, logically. its just less good.
nah you get the "bad ending" though its really weak. it can't even be called a bad ending, logically. its just less good.
That's probably why the achievement labels it as a "bad" ending in quotes
