I've never seen anyone do the assassin outfit right.
Imo would have been better without the costume, makes it kinda cringy.
How did they get such smooth camera movements?
has this man not heard of this thing called 'a bus'
Camera work is fantastic.

Steadycam probably
except altair never did those flips
This is just normal parkour/freerunning, nothing Assassin's Creed about it other than the costume.

Yeah that's the thing I notice about all these videos. They're just showing parkour, which is cool and all, but the actually free running assassin's creed is very functional and a lot more climbing. And there's no flips n stuff. Cool video none-the-less.
I wish I lived in the city then this shit would be cool.

Yeah, should be jumping from top the empire state building to a hay bale on the bottom.
0/10
I'd like to see a video like this but where people are actually doing free-running in the style of AC - in that it is a lot of climbing, and using momentum to get to places (aka functional). This was mostly just acrobatic flips and stuff instead of the "practical" free running they do in the AC games.
this video made me realize how inefficient the AC costume actually is
those flaps could easily get stuck somewhere
best runner cloths really would be skinny jeans with knee pads / long sleeve with elbow pads / running shoes / small belt with a medical kit for in-case.
AC suits are amazing to look at and artsy but for a game so :v:

Skinny jeans?
It's hard enough for people to walk fast in skinny jeans.
napkin man and the front lawns of despair
Nice steadicam work.

holy fuck you know nothing about movement
did you spill a jar of super glue on your computer chair before sitting or something
Being naked would be best for efficient movement.

I don't mean skin tight blood restricting, I just mean well fitting jeans as opposed to baggy.

umm yeah I'm pretty sure baggy clothing / robe isn't exactly good for moving. Yeah they're comfortable but you're fucked if it gets caught on anything, and that was my entire point. No shit you don't put uncomfortable clothing on before you parkour, nor do you wear oversized clothing that hangs at all. Therefore skinnier pants and a longsleeve would be better.
and the pads would be unneeded, but they're just there for safety.
People noted something along these lines, but I think it would have been better if there had been more getting-from-place-to-place and less "lol backflips"
Like at 0:39, he moves down a fire escape and at 1:16 he's swinging on scaffolding and it's fairly reminiscent of the game, but at other parts he's just running at the wall or jumping off embankments.
The only good thing about this video is the camera work.

gym shorts and short sleeve shirts are probably the most efficient clothing you can wear
take it from someone who actually practices this stuff

Got my hopes up
video would have been way better without any reference to AC
it was actually shot using a glidecam
He runs like he has to take a shit.
that was pretty bad ass not going to lie

You know jeans are generally made of Denim?
Denim doesn't stretch.

Have you ever worn jeans and tried to get your knee all the way up?
It doesn't happen.
Your knee needs to be able to go all the way up for freerunning/parkour.
