I am an incoming MS summer intern and I would never use Edge :v:
I am an incoming MS summer intern and I would never use Edge :v:
I've used it a bit more, and it's okay at least compared to what IE used to be. Though, it's always good to have other browsers installed as backups as sometimes shit just doesn't work.
I never understood my MS is so keen on making people use their browser. It's not like they're selling it as a separate program and making money off it.

MS hopes normies are too stupid to notice they aren't using google so MS can earn that search ad revenue

What's more obnoxious is that newer Windows Server versions also come coupled with Edge by default - and in the rare circumstance that you need to get on the web for something, you have to remember to run ie from the run dialogue as there are no icons for it.

[editline]30th October 2017[/editline] I've never seen any of the metro apps run on Windows Server other then your Settings menu.
that's a support engineer but yeah azure dashboard is garbage.
I am an incoming MS summer intern and I would never use Edge :v:
When I started working at MS the first thing I was told was, "oh, don't use Edge that doesn't work right."
As a web developer, Edge is shaping to be a nice replacement to Internet Explorer, but it's not there yet. It still has it's fair share of problems, but given a few years I think it'll possibly be a worthwhile competitor (providing they keep up with browser features/speed)

When I am using my Surface Pro outside I found myself to be using Edge a lot. It takes less resource and battery than Chrome and it support a lot of features for touch screen which Chrome doesn't have without going for extensions. But I still use Chrome in every other situations.
