that fucking eye video is horrifying [editline]12th April 2013[/editline] also holy shit 150 bpm that baby has a fast heartbeat
This + Google Glass = Crazy possibilities. See someones BPM by looking at them.
also holy shit 150 bpm that baby has a fast heartbeat
that's p normal for a baby. when you are born you will recieve about the highest BPM you will ever receive in your life - around 200+ BPM
This + Google Glass = Crazy possibilities. See someones BPM by looking at them.
You could measure if the person looking at you is attracted to you!
I thought my monitor was messed up until i realized that was their pulse. Shit dawg.
When the future is full of robots that are almost indistinguishable from people (a sooner future than most people think), if you have something like google glass you could turn this feature on and see who is a real person and who isn't.
Great, let's make vaginas look even more disgusting
The breathing baby looked like something out of Alien.
now we can see if bodies in videos are actors or not.
Great, let's make vaginas look even more disgusting
Ok fuck, now I want to see this technology used on a vagina..
Put this technology on robots that search through disaster sites and collapsed buildings to tell if people are still alive or not, then you could prioritize rescue operations accordingly.

I saw this done with amplifying fetal movement a while back, it's kinda terrifying.

I want to see a gif of the guys face pulsating red. For Science.
Ok fuck, now I want to see this technology used on a vagina..
Seeing it done on a boner would probably be even more weird.
Do both!
Oh boy, I can't wait for the day that firefighters are armed up looking like something from a sci fi film, they'll look pretty awesome. More than they already do I mean.
I wanna try watching some movies with this it'd probably be pretty cool
I really can't wait to see the future uses of this. It's obviously an amazing breakthrough in video analyzing.
From what they said in the video, I highly doubt this algorithm can be done in realtime on any decent size video, especially not on mobile hardware.
This is some weird ass science that I cannot comprehend.
I decided to run the acid trip from Fear and Loathing through this thing. The thing had a Psychedelic overflow- after the conversion it was just a scene from The Godfather.
Now they showed it on Christian Bale. Try it out on a Zombie :o
You could measure if the person looking at you is attracted to you!
You could have a lie detector built into your smartphone or google glass...which I think is pretty dangerous.
This is nothing new guys. You can achieve this by taking LSD or something similar and the minutia of your senses will be amplified.
This is some weird ass science that I cannot comprehend.
Program amplifies changes in pixel hue in every frame. Pretty simple conceptually.
I tracked down the project page on MIT's site. You can actually download the code and run it yourself, if you have MATLAB.
My first thought is that this could be applied to surveillance cameras to sniff out androids in the future. [editline]12th April 2013[/editline] It could also be used as a non intrusive lie detector, imagine watching a film of a conversation and applying this technology, you could notice sudden increases in heart rate and thus be able to make educated guesses as to whether or not the person is lying.
