It's really true
What is all that fuzz about complete mod? I found it was one of the most subtile, gameplay-wise.
What is all that fuzz about complete mod? I found it was one of the most subtile, gameplay-wise.
Go to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R thread and say that. I dare you
Is it not just a graphics mod? I don't see what else it changes?
What is all that fuzz about complete mod? I found it was one of the most subtile, gameplay-wise.
No stop god dammit it's not good at all. The graphics are ok, but the gameplay. HNNG CASUAL MODE
if the only thing wrong about it is the fact it "makes the game easy" then what about the fact you can just chose easy mode in the original game lol
I moded the mod so it literally just changes the world textures and nothing else. Other than that, I only use Oblivion Lost and nothing else.

Complete, and that mod on master difficulty is just as easy as vanilla on rookie, no joke. And the graphics? It adds greener grass, more vibrant world - which is not something you want. It changes the entire feeling to the levels. The grass in cordon for example is supposed to be more red, to feel dead like a warning for those who want to dwell deeper into the zone. I can't say much about the other areas in stalker complete because I couldn't get into that mod to play it that far. I switched back to AMK right away.
What is all that fuzz about complete mod? I found it was one of the most subtile, gameplay-wise.
Besides the fact that the guy who made it won't admit it's just a compilation of other mods, there's nothing really wrong with it
I played S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I got to the small military base at the railtracks. I pumped 6 handgun rounds into the military officers head and he whips around and kills me instantly. Vanilla stalker is stupid hard.
Well I don't know maybe you shouldn't try to take on moderately armed military with a handgun
Indeed. There's a mission to get past the electro anomaly filled tunnel for a reason. You're not supposed to rambo them just yet.
But this is a pretty accurate depiction of how discussion about Complete goes in the megathread, just a bunch of angry people shouting yet not saying anything I recommend you play vanilla STALKER first, but honestly some people in the megathread act like they'll kill you and your family if you don't
But what does it change gameplay wise to make it easier?
But what does it change gameplay wise to make it easier?
Hell if I know, every time this question is brought up they just call you a retard and tell you to go back to playing your babby cod games
I use complete, but I also added that realistic weapon mod that makes it so guns are much much more powerful. It helped a lot with how difficulty is. It helped with the textures on weapons but it made the environment a bit too vibrant. Vibrancy isn't something I'm gunning for in an apocalyptic rpg fps.
Complete is also pretty unoptimised and outdated. If you want a much better experience, just grab a mod like AMK or OL and install Argus Textures, SWO, STALKER Shaders MAX and any sound mod you want. Odds are you are going to play something that is significantly better than Complete both visually, content-wise and also in terms of gameplay. Then again, any overhaul mod that isn't from the depths of Russia uses the same "graphics enhancers" Complete uses which makes any point obsolete.
No offence to Stalker fans, but Stalker feels really clumsy outdated for a game made in 2007.
No offence to Stalker fans, but Stalker feels really clumsy outdated for a game made in 2007.
If it looked and played like the Metro 2033 games, that would be nice.
Why can't you just let people play the game the way they want to play it and stop getting mad at them for having fun?
No offence to Stalker fans, but Stalker feels really clumsy outdated for a game made in 2007.
I disagree, I'd say it is ahead of its time in some aspects. Call of Pripyat was even one of the first games to utilise DX11. [t]http://i.snag.gy/1J1ft.jpg[/t] Where does it look outdated?

Where does it look outdated?
Character models and textures (especially on some of the guns) typically looks very out of date, and some buildings are effectively blocks with some recessed areas where windows are. The parts that STALKER does right (the shadows, lighting, etc) looks amazing, but it's lackluster in other areas.
What movie is this? I've seen some other videos with it and now i want to see the original movie.
What movie is this? I've seen some other videos with it and now i want to see the original movie.
Downfall
No offence to Stalker fans, but Stalker feels really clumsy outdated for a game made in 2007.
It really does but the core gameplay and immersiveness is still some of the best even by today's standards. Personally the only mod I used was Oblivion Lost a while back which basically just added more realism and immersive stuff. Never tried the complete mod.
Can someone give me a non-biased list of things it does? All that I've heard is that it makes it way too easy and ruins the atmosphere.
