Such a good band. Sounding good man! Although as far as recording those cymbals are drowning out the toms and the snare.
The mix would really benefit from you using more control or something else. Those cymbals are just so cutting and loud that they ruin it.
I love DGD, not sure about the new album though.

New singer sounds a bit processed but the whole band are supposed to be really great live, and Jon Fucking Mess is the best he's been in years.
I'd honestly say it's a change for the better, but it's a real shame about Jonny Craig. Man has the voice of an angel, it sucks he can't keep his shit in check.
I'm only using what I can afford to record at the moment, so sorry if some stuff sounds off. I try to mix it in audacity to get a good balance of backing track vs. what I recorded, and sometimes I have to sacrifice stuff to make the track as a whole balance out better. Thanks for telling me, though! Really appreciate it.

Haven't given Violent Art a listen but I'll get around to it one of these days. Their Lazers album, if you can find it, is also worth getting.
