That ending was brutal. Did not see that coming at all. In any case, the game looks awesome.
can't wait to lose all of my friends when I pull that
God imagine the mic chatter with kids in the game when someone pulls that shit off.
Cringeworthy. Newyork DayZ without zombies. Just backstabbing, nothing extra. I expect this to not be fun at all in the end.

but why didn't he take the extraction?

While MuffinZerg put it rather... harshly, I actually agree. If there's one thing DayZ and other things have thought us, it's that cooperation like that doesn't really happen a lot unless you bring friends in. Everyone's just going for shoot-on-sight protocol. This hardly will be an exception, unless Ubisoft came up with some incentives to work together no one else thought of before, which I don't think they did. This might flop. It looks awesome, if it works it's going to be the best thing to come out of Ubisoft for a long time, but I can't help but have grim feelings about it.
unless theres a way to turn your pvp flag off, its just going to be kill any player you see also npcs
Well if that is the case, only new players will play with it on, get shot, and then never set it off again. Mechanic will be wasted. I can't even imagine a mechanic that would balance it out. Something like "trust"-karma? Like, you do it, and then you're marked HVT, but you got away with great shit? Game has to be brutally difficult for something like that to work, and it doesn't seem like it.
Seems pretty fun...with the right people you're playing with. The confrontation part was cool, but most of the time none of them can get along as one starts shooting. Lol. Those ones playing it seems interestingly-tensed deciding what to do and what not to do. No idea what happened close to end but it seems they went against them.

Guess that shows people not to trust you.

They have added too many RPG elements, which normally I would enjoy but not in a shooter like this, and have shifted the game too heavily towards PVP. This no longer has the features that would make this super interesting. Needs to be coop focused, with the occasional, but extremely risky PvP, and enemies who deal damage and resist damage based on the physical armor and weapons in their possession. Without this, it becomes a basic MMO.
Cringeworthy. Newyork DayZ without zombies. Just backstabbing, nothing extra. I personally wouldn't mind it, but 95% of the player base would peace out if that happened. Just look at how many people aren't happy with the backstabbing... and then incorporate the loss of all of your gear? The game wouldn't be successful. Also, this isn't a survival style game. You don't need water or food to survive. Its not like DayZ.
I get its their way of advertising but the dialogue is so cringe-worthy and cheesy. No player ever speaks like this, seriously. It just makes it annoying to watch. Im having a tough time believing that this is what gameplay will be like.

Plus, I just noticed that The Division's trailers are telling a story. It's the same "players" from the first one to this one. IIRC they meet, go do missions, and end up like this. So this sort of "storytelling" makes sense, unlike Siege where it's just... there. For no reason.
it's pretty obvious that the free for all PVP is only in that 'dark zone' area, with the reward of better loot

"FRIENDLY DUDE"
Wilhelm scream at 2:12
Reminds me of Diablo 2 time when you could left your party, challenge duel with them and murder them all.
Call me skeptical but if this was actual non-scripted in-game, the video would have ended by 1:40, cause you'd already be fucking dead
This does seem like legitimate gameplay unlike last year's trailer. The character movement is a little rougher; there's less nuance and polish to the animations. I'm glad this exists; more games need to rip off DayZ because it was a fucking genius idea. However, I think I'll hold fire until this thing gets rave reviews before I even think about installing Uplay for it.
the part where they meet those others, in reality it'd be "FRIENDLY? BRO YOU FRIENDLY? FRIENDLY? FRIENDLY?" "FRIENDLY DUDE"
In reality they would just shoot them in the back and the girl would be screaming: "WE WERE FOOKING FRIENDLY YOU CUNTS FCUK YOU" And then they respawn.

If you mean that it was gameplay footage that actually represents what playing the game will be like, then not so much. The fundamental problem with this sort of concept is that it relies on randoms who know absolutely nothing about the people they're encountering to trust each other and cooperate, which is a concept that is inherently destined to fail. In a video game, people have absolutely no moral obligation to not hurt other players, and likewise that means that the safest policy in such a game is always to assume that everyone is hostile and to kill them before they have the opportunity to kill you.
what's with all these fake as fuck player dialogues recently
what's with all these fake as fuck player dialogues recently
What was the other one? I remember one being really bad.
Literally all missions not played with a very specific group of known friends are going to end like this lol
