That's why I can't take movements like this seriously. Yes, human trafficking is a HUGE problem. Especially in my area, but what are we expected to do about it other than share a video? Anybody who is educated already knows that this stuff exists, so I'm not sure what awareness will do.

Comparably, I wouldnt be surprised if the percentage of global population enslaved is lower than it was in the past. If there are roughly 27 mil slaves now, and 7 billion people thats not even one percent of the global population. Just the romans used to enslave entire populations of people, and a huge percent of the population of rome were slaves. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a higher percentage of enslaved people throughout the rest of history.
