I like the trailer of the film of the rise of the planet of the apes.
Is this even canon?
Horrible CG monkeys
Also is this ignoring the other remake?
Attack of the evil CGI monkeys.
Damn we humans are stupid!
I lime some Franco ;]
That looks awesome.

This is a post of the post quoting the person of the post posting of the post of the trailer of the rise of the planet of the apes.
What is this? I expected a sequel to the movie Planet of the Apes.
Edit: Oh, actually it's a prequel. Looks pretty awesome.
I like how everyone kept saying in the thread over at Film & Television "Haha, 100 monkeys taking over America, so unrealistic!". Well, it certainly looks to be more than 100, and considering a chimpanzee could easily beat a grown man to the ground. Throw a couple of gorillas in there and you're pretty screwed.

Muscle doesn't matter much usually when somebody is using a gun tho.

Yes, but these primates are almost as smart as a human being, and as long as they use "tactics" they can sure put up a fight.
The monkeys just seem really creepy to me. I don't think I could watch this.
you're telling me that monkeys armed with spears take over the earth
you know gorillas aren't super heroes you know, they aren't invincible to bullets.

Yeah, no.
A chimp can beat you in a fist fight, yeah, but you know what they don't have?
Helicopters. Tanks. BULLETS.
It would be like that scene from The Last Samurai. Dakka dakka dakka, lotta dead apes.

This story is retarded on so many fucking levels, not even getting into the scientific impossibility of it.
Unless they invented a compound that causes chimps to develop a speech section for their brain.
what if chimps knew how to control missiles?
and build atom bombs?
yea!

The uncanny valley but for monkeys?

I thought the original story was about a guy who traveled into another universe through a wormhole and he had a monkey with him, and in that alternate universe the apes were as smart as humans.
The entire theater laughed at this when it came up during the previews for X-Men, looks pretty terrible

[sp]After a number of days later, Taylor catches sight of something sticking out of the sand on the beach. Overcome with grief he falls from his horse screaming to the sky. The camera pans out to show the Statue of Liberty half-buried in sand, and in a highly corroded state. He understands now that he has been on Earth the whole time, and Zaius was right. Humanity did destroy itself and apes became the dominant species.
"Maniacs!! You finally blew it all up!!!" Taylor screams in despair. "God damn you all to hell!"

So the Green Goblin is ending the world with monkeys eh?
Ooohhh CGI oooh it's going to kill us all I'm crying oh no what to do!
Get over it. Did you expect the chimps to be acted by REAL chimps? I was never a fan of Planet of the Apes, but that trailer looked pretty great to me. I might just watch it.
CGI is fine and dandy when it's not blatantly obvious that it's there. This is a tad ridiculous

Oh okay. [sp] So basically this is their take of how the humans destroyed themselves and forced primates to evolve? [/sp]
