"Took a month to render" Or like 10 minutes in Xaos.
I came e.42 times
I have no clue what I'm watching, but it looks incredible.
so THATS how babies are made
Okay I watched it through to the end and I gotta admit I wtf'd when another mandelbrot set appeared at the end.
Okay I watched it through to the end and I gotta admit I wtf'd when another mandelbrot set appeared at the end.
The end was like dividing by zero, blew my mind while my mind was already being blown.
Coincidence? Some guys in the programming section are making Mandelbrots like this one.
To be honest, all it did was give me a headache and got boring within 30 seconds. It'd be cool for a screensaver or something, though.
I don't see the porn
Fractals are the best  [editline]04:33AM[/editline] Now I know how an acid trip feels like
This video temporarily fucked my eyes. :frog:
Can someone explain what this is
This video temporarily fucked my eyes. :frog:
This early in the morning at 05:34 AM I think for the first time ever I'm tripping balls. Or the video is tripping my eye balls. [editline]05:41AM[/editline] FUCK ME Go crosseyed whilst watching. Or do so at the last two minutes. More ball tripping rapes you.
I came.

If you get bored skip the last last 2:30 of the video. I was shitting bricks.
I feel hungry for some reason
Gotta agree that the video was a bit boring, always zooming into the same repeating structures, I remember there are way more interesting patterns inside the Mandelbrot set. The last 2 minutes were mind blowingly awesome though.
Can somone give me a link to a program that lets you render like that?
oh god
Omg MY EYES, that was insane!
Wait, e.42 the same size to the universe? Was this what hitchiker's guide to the universe was speaking about :monocle:
I should set this to play as my wallpaper on my itouch.
Wait, e.42 the same size to the universe? Was this what hitchiker's guide to the universe was speaking about :monocle:
hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy... :pseudo:
That would probably be better on LSD.

I wonder what program the people who made the video used.
Probably Xaos on a Mac Pro or something (probably run in really slow motion too)
Probably Xaos on a Mac Pro or something (probably run in really slow motion too)
You're joking right? Xaos can't do this. [editline]09:21AM[/editline] Just for fun I opened up Xaos, increased the iterations to 10000 (vs the default 170) and zoomed in for 2 minutes.
