Holy shit, I love the new season.
This is new?
First episode of the new season.
"How do you keep a big ol' bus with wings in the sky, anyway?"
Honestly, I love Brule, and I think this episode blew everything they've done with the character so far out of the water. The second and third episodes seem far more like the last two seasons, so entertaining but not as great as this. RIP Linda Barongo
The second ep is also out for those interested.

I feel the character is sort of developing into a more childlike figure, past just the simple intellect. It seems in the first episode that Brule is taking on the feelings of a jealous child and then a child coping with a loss they don't fully understand. The second shows a bit of self agency in his holding onto his mother's ideals and sticking it to Mobin and such like that. But I see where you're getting at. Brule is changing as a character - but I feel like its a more interesting and full pathetic character as time goes on.
You guys are looking far too much into a Tim & Eric show.
Quite possibly. But I love it, it's a great show. It's ridiculous but every once and awhile I see a flicker of a deeper understanding in the character. And as awful as it sounds, sometimes I see myself in Brule. Also its fun to think about.
Sorry, I was referring primarily to the second episode. I agree, I think they did a good job presenting Steve with more varied problems for him to deal and react against in the past two episodes. I think I'm surprised at how the episodes this season are more traditionally 'Tim & Eric-unpredictable', as season 1 & 2 of Check it Out were quite subdued and sleepy (which fit with the late 80's TV feel) & most episodes often dealt with similar dilemmas. It's good, but I have to adjust to the pace of the new season now that it's moving in a somewhat more intense direction.
I can see that. There is certainly a more active feel to the last two episodes. I felt the rude awaking in "Airplanes" helped the series get back off of the ground after the hiatus (god what an awful pun). I disagree that this is any more Tim & Eric unpredictable than the last two seasons, however. I felt that the last two had elements of that as well - and I feel that those were my least favorite moments. But I felt these two didn't apply to that... but that is all opinion.
When you get a doctor degree, will you still be a doctor even after you end up mentally retarded after a serious car crash?
well this is a lot more intense than the other seasons
Wait, he said call 999, that's the british emergency number if I'm not mistaken. So this is a british show? Or are they just trying to make him sound dumb?
Jon C Reilly owns a house a little bit south from me. I met him once on the beach, he's a nice guy. I love this show too, I had a big viewing party at my house for the new season [editline]11th March 2014[/editline]
Wait, he said call 999, that's the british emergency number if I'm not mistaken. Easily the darkest episode of anything I've seen in comedy for a while.
I really want a new Chrimbus episode with Brule now.
