The sonic social media guy recently talked shit about nintendo. He never said the name outright though but he mentioned the encouraging of fan projects even to the point of hiring them to make the games (sonic mania). This is a Sega future I can get on board with

Reminds me of this other company that used to be my favorite game company who hire modders and turn small projects into full-fledged games.
Nonetheless, I'm really glad SEGA is stepping up their game. May their glory days re-emerge one day.

They probably picked it because it looks more "modern" than the other Sonic ports, even if 1/2/CD play a lot better.
