I want to die
A 3D remake of the first three games would be pretty sweet...
I disagree, the art style is better in 2D.

it just looks like an attempt at recreating the 2D style, why bother? Sure there's some nice slow camera pans but the only thing it's really accomplishing in the end is making things act smooth and unnatural. The mouth movements while talking are odd, and at :47 you can see his irises are capsule shapes inside an inverted pocket for the eyeball, it's just distracting
I'm not too surprised/mad this was done for a pachinko thing
how does the gameplay of videogames even translate to pachislot
isn't pachislot literally just s slot machine but instead of rotating cylinders its a bunch of tiny balls or some shit?
japans weird dude
I want remakes of the original Ace Attorney games with a more accurate translation.

turn gear
balls fall down
sometimes ball fall into right hole and things happen
repeat till no balls
the next generation of gambling

so instead of a game it's basically a movie but you need to gamble to see more if it? lol
no real loss here 2d is the best version anyway

to be fair capcom has done a lot of shit for the 3DS AA to make it feel like 2D. for example, they made it so 3D character animations suddenly cut into different character animations just like 2D sprites do. the subtle cel-shading too. it feels a lot like a high-def 2D game.

sometimes the pachinko machines can make a huge fucking deal over the metal ball hitting the right hole, for example (this uses coins instead of balls):

Pachinko is basically a clever way to get around Japan's old gambling laws.

The new animations they did for the characters that are still 2D are so much better than the shoddy effort in the HD Trilogy, though. HD Trilogy is missing loads of animation frames because the original high-res art was missing them and Capcom couldn't be bothered to redraw them all from the sprites.
So after all this time, after multiple unpolished "HD" remakes, they finally put the effort in to fix them up....for a fucking pachislot. Typical Capcom.
