He obliterates literally everyone on the enemy team. Just goes to show how much real training helps in a hobby like airsoft.

what a cool guy
god that field looks so sick
kinda want to get into this, but the missus would tear me a new one if I spent 100 on a bb glock...
cool shit though, wonder how much you could get away with in terms of weird tactics and going all stealthy, and if thats even possible
that nade toss was rad as hell. impressive.

IIRC this guy airsofts often and knows the course. Training + knowing the area to a decent degree can allow you to outplay just about anyone.
Did they really need to add the hitmarkers and killfeed? Was fucking obnoxious and I didn't finish the video because of it. What's wrong with just camera footage by itself?

A trope common among the most popular airsoft Youtubers, it provides a little feedback when you otherwise can't tell what's hit or missed. It's to the point where it's kind of jarring for me not to see it.

Also, finally and recently got into airsoft after a decade of wanting to but not being able to. [sp]Airsoft thread revival? Is it time boys?[/sp]
This is legitimately the coolest shit to watch ever. Extremely suspenseful minus the having your life be in danger part.

[sp]fpair 2018? make airsoft great again?[/sp]
Facepunch Airsoft subform is still kicking around! We've moved onto Discord though, if you have interest in getting into airsoft there's still plenty of FPers who'd be more than willing to help: https://discord.gg/EBmRrYc
On a related note, I also make YouTube airsoft videos, though I cut out all the annoying tropes like clickbait thumbnails, hitmarkers, kill feeds, and selfie-cams for purely condensed footage. Video editing has become another hobby I enjoy, so it's great to combine it with a hobby I already love.
Here's a shameless plug for my latest video:

Fairly sure he's a pro player, which doesn't at all give an indication of how an actual SWAT member would fare.

one of the soundtracks sounds like the halo flood theme, is it from the later games or is it a remix?

creative commons licensed professional soundtracks is a godsend for video production
hes only doing good because hes playing against a bunch of randos. a half decent team with communication would have stopped his loud ass stompy no corner checking ass breaches. also his gun needs a new motor or battery.
heres some better videos

Man I really got to find one of these airsoft places near me. Shit looks like so much fun. Although it looks like there is a lot of room for cheating. I can imagine a lot of people lie about getting hit and see fights breaking out because of it.
Cheating depends a lot on the range and the playerbase imo, but those bbs do sting. Rules on bonus-balling vary between field but if someone doesn't call it, I'll just assume I missed and keep shooting them until they call it.
yeh and you can tell a ref as well, places I've been to all take cheating seriously.

Here's a good place to start (if you're in the US): https://www.airsoftc3.com/fields though it's nowhere near complete. Utah has almost a dozen regular "unsanctioned" fields that aren't listed at all. Your best bet is looking for Facebook groups with keyword "your city/county + airsoft".
Concerning cheating or not calling hits, it really is up to the players to be honest. Some of the more professional places (like the video in the OP) have refs who'll call people out on it and ban repeat offenders. In my experience, those types of people tend to gravitate towards certain fields or groups and word gets spread pretty quick to avoid them. But yeah, other than that there really isn't a way to avoid cheaters; just keep shooting them till they call it.

It's so you can actually see when someone gets hit when the footage is unclear and fast-moving. It'd be damn near impossible to keep track of what's going on at a lot of times if you didn't highlight it in one way or the other.

just like in muh video games

I wouldn't mind getting into airsoft but alas it's not allowed in Australia ;)

The good thing about paintball is the paintballs are too fat, and usually break, and so don't really penetrate the skin.
Airsoft BB's actually can penetrate skin and get lodged underneath, even at range. I remember one guy took one right to the end of his nose and it just completely embedded inside and they got it out the same way you'd pop a pimple. LOTS of chipped teeth as well

tbh I cringed when I saw his lack of earpro. Wouldn't wanna be the person to get smacked in the eardrum by a BB, or even the ear really
This guy wasn't following any proper procedures, so specialist training had nothing to do with his success.

I think I also noticed that he was lowering his rifle when going upstairs/downstairs, which is probably not a good idea if someone jumps you there.

Really dependa upon the FPS and weight of the BB.
I've been lit up with .25g BBs going 410FPS (125m/s) and gotten severe welts on exposed skin but no penetration.
Any range/arena worth their salt usually has FPS limits (~430FPS for most ranges) and minimum range limits on long range rifles.
But yeah always wear PPE all around the head.

I feel like if I was in the heat of the moment, and it hit me on a hard place on a vest or a piece of equipment, I might not notice it at all.
