This guy is pretty crazy
Ye, Photon does cheat death quite a lot. But I'm sure he knows what he's doing.
Where does he get all that energy from, anyway
[editline]2nd April 2013[/editline]
Also, how come his house doesn't just spontaneously combust

Maybe he lives directly outside the national grid.

Maybe he just bought many capacitors to store his energy

He would need a fuckload to do what he's doing for that long
"Ah we've exceeded our electrical supply"
"For the street?"
"For the fucking neighbourhood."
Jesus christ
Oh, he's using large batteries, that explains it
Still, unless he's somehow not paying for the electric bill, this would cost a fortune to run
[editline]2nd April 2013[/editline]
Oh wait, he didn't for this one, what
I'm considering showing this to my Dad who's an electrical engineer (returning to the Grid after a 10 year absence) to see [del]if[/del] how badly he flips the fuck out for abusing resources :v:
nah screw it I think it'd hospitalise him, no doubt it'll get passed around the control centre
Electricity is so cool, absolutely love the sound.

It might be cool but this is like fucking retard central, without that meter there to go pop first he could quite easily overload millions of pounds worth of equipment if not more if the protection circuits at the local distributor were to fail, and on top of that brownout a fair amount of the neighbourhood's stuff
ignoring the blatant fire risk
not trying to be a killjoy but it's incredibly irresponsible to be doing this kind of thing on a public resource

Worst case scenario it trips his circuit breaker and the power goes out to that room. You know he's just doing all this off mains power right? Just uses large transformers with few secondary windings to get high currents.

It's still drawing a huge load off of the grid - my dad has seen said video, and has pointed out that all continued overload conditions go into an abuse log that's reviewed at the local sub
Also he didn't have a breaker, he was drawing directly off the grid through his meter (which is at the very least a point of failure between him and the transformer)

You know he's not using his own power meter for this test right? Go to 12:16 in the vid. It's just for demonstration.
I don't understand, I thought he was trying to use as much amps as possible right? So why did he only tap it onto the cable, and why did the meter keep heaing up if he wasn't using power.
Was he running everything in his house and simply trying to get as much amps running through the cable as possible without melting it together?
Im having a hard time understanding him.
But this stuff is freaking entertaining
FYI, 1 amp can kill you.
FYI, 1 amp can kill you.
Oh boy, here we go
FYI, 1 amp can kill you.
Hell, even 6mA can.
FYI, 1 amp can kill you.
So that's why a lot of rock stars die. Too many amps in the stadium
