Nothing fancy, just decided to make poops as the videos for some of my songs. I only started making these a week ago so I'm not quite as skilled as I'd like to be. I'm mostly practicing for when I want to make actual videos for songs with lyrics in them when the time comes.
What even make them YTPMV when no sample is pitch to song, or any sync of sample noise to song? My understanding of YTPMV is similar to of 音MAD, and while term is vert flexible, I do not think it is wide enough to cover your video.

I wanted some visual accompaniment to my songs and my style is heavily inspired by the editing style I've only seen in poops, (bad tweening, chopping bits up as a show to be synced with audio). That's like saying "tv show" isn't flexible enough to cover this video just because it doesn't have any dialogue and is only 3 minutes. Okay, but it's obviously referencing the thing, right? I just thought me and the friends I made these for might not be the only ones to get a kick out of 'em.
This isn't YTPMV at all, it's whatever genre Simpsonswave is

I hope you do not take my comment against the quality of what you are making, I am just saying it does not fit what you have labelled it as.
Idk, I legitimately spent a lot of time trying to make sure these felt entirely like my own thing. Honestly, I truly thought this was a format I could play around with without being told my work doesn't fit the standards and classifications of the genre. Like, I get this isn't fine art or anything. It's just, is it not obvious that this is (art inspired by thing) and not (thing itself)? I didn't put [YTPMV] tags anywhere, I only used 'poop' in the title to let the readers know what the point of the thread was before entering, because I certainly didn't post these because I think people care to hear my songs. I thought people might like seeing art thats inspired by a thing that's got like 4 threads going on right now.

It's just, is it not obvious that this is [art inspired by thing] and not [thing itself]?
Not really, you did call it ytpmv outright which it's not. It's not a big deal though, it's it's own thing, and it's pretty cool

This is not a case of genre constraining you. YTPMV itself is just a definition tag, like 音MAD. It isn't a genre. This is why I am pointing out calling your videos ytpmv is confusing and might detract from what you are making.
Im sorry, then. I just wanted to share my work inspired by a thing with other people who like that thing. Like I said, I was pretty much making these for myself. I just used the terms I thought appropriate to explain what style of video I made, I wasn't aware it even mattered what I called them.
