Mike nearly fucking killing himself and the set with that scale joke was great.

but are they ever joking
fuck you jay i like eating rice cakes
this movie was bland as fuck
the ending was predictable, they made a weird decision to completely market the movie as a serious and dark movie, when in fact half the movie is jokes and jokes that fall flat.
You could say, it certainly wasn't worth the mummy
When they showed that old footage of the old monsters with action music playing I was like "Christ imagine if they did this"
then 1 second later they say "yeah when they did this ..."
the fuck

I think that was the intention from RLM. Great gag from them.
it's weird how they apparently went to so much effort to avoid portraying Egyptian culture in a racist, insensitive 1930's way - and then they have a fun action scene with fucking ISIS blowing up buildings

Not as bad as that one time they talked about the zoo keeper's trailer as if it was a joke, fake trailer and I believed them

Except ISIS actually does destroy a lot of ancient architecture and art, it's not like they pulled it out their ass.
I'm pretty sure the Zoo Keeper trailer video was my first exposure to Half in the Bag. Not sure if Red Letter Media as a whole.

I think the issue is that it's supposed to be a fun action scene that uses an actual serious issue as a backdrop. If a movie portrayed 9/11 as a wacky action sequence I don't think people would like it very much, even though it's based on a real event.
So this is what Hollywood is becoming...completely void of all smart writing, directing, and etc. Just to get that sweet Overseas market thats bound to give them money.
Well, Hollywood crash...here we come... I seriously hope this begins a movement where independent studios or independent filmmakers start to come into the spotlight. We've now hit critical mass for these shitty attempts at making "Cinematic universes"

It kind of already came. Creative talent moved to TV shows/web originals and they're starting to get more compelling than any movie.

sure, but a movie about Tom Cruise fighting a mummy isn't the best place to bring up an active genocidal group, you know?

i mean either have ISIS or don't. don't shy away from what they do or try to make them into cartoons
So the cute Mummy doesn't even have a chance to fuck the protagonist even with all the sexual tension in the trailer? That's dissapointing
do you know how dry that would be
