One of the best action scenes I've seen in years. Spoilers obviously.
I burst out laughing when the guy at 2:30 got thrown against the podium. That seamless transition from stuntman to ragdoll.
That was beautifully made, dang. I've gotta check this movie out sometime, looks interesting :v:
It's a fantastic self aware movie.
I remember seeing this in the theater and everyone was DEAD quiet as this played out, mainly because it was just unexpected to see Firth running about a church murdering everyone.
This is the best Dark Comedy in years, I thought the movie was gonna suck until I went and a saw it.
Absolutely a great movie that doesn't take itself too seriously, like it knows its a movie. I really hope they make a sequel or prequel. I am really interested in other Kingsman.
Interesting to see an action sequence where the magazine capacities of the guns actually seem to play a factor, one tactical reload and three completely emptied guns. Usually those tend to be treated as infinite until a dramatic shift is needed, here needing to reload or swap weapons is just a part of the action.
I fucking love action sequences like these, there's just something about the way they're shot and edited that's so hilarious and entertaining, irregardless of how violent or brutal the actual scene is, kinda reminds me of watching The World's End's fight scenes.
Shit me that was well made. Is it that choppy in the movie?
There doesn't seem to be any "advanced" action coreography similar to that of HK films but it still looks great. How did they manage to do it?
I remember some people said this movie was "Anti-Christian" for this scene. Guess they don't know what the Westboro Baptist Church is...
It's incredible that this entire shot is one take. Obviously Colin Firth rehearsed it over and over and over but it's still amazing to think that this fight happens without a single break in real-time continuity.

the background music just fit in so perfectly
I remember some people said this movie was "Anti-Christian" for this scene. Guess they don't know what the Westboro Baptist Church is...
Im christian and i thought this scene was goddamn hilarious.
Same here, and all of my Christian friends who have seen this movie agree that the church scene is fucking awesome.
What is the context here? Why is murdering people?
What is the context here? Why is murdering people?
The answer is spoiler
I cannot believe that Free Bird wasn't the original choice for this song. It fits so well. And this is a fantastic scene because while it is a splurge of action and ecstasy in violence form, it also works in the context of the movie, of Galahad's character's arc, of the villain's plot, of the relationship between Galahad and Eggsy... Damn. On one part, I'm so sad Matthew Vaughn left the X-Men franchise (can you imagine what this guy could do with Nightcrawler's teleportation abilities?) but on the other hand it got us this movie which is balls to the walls amazing.
What is the context here? Why is murdering people?
Because they're like a mix of the KKK and Westboro Baptist Church, so they deserve it. [editline].[/editline] Almost forgot, they hate Jews as well.
This is how the Postal movie should have been handled.
This is how the Postal movie should have been handled.
Do you want Uwe Boll to beat the shit out of you?
Do you want Uwe Boll to beat the shit out of you?
but what if gufu's secretly a ten foot tall muay thai berserker with lighting bolts shooting out his eyes like seanbaby
One of the best movies I have seen in ages and best thing is I had low expectations. I highly recommend anyone to go see it.

The camera movement reminds me of cod aw's live action trailer

I remember when I was watching this movie (totally recommend it btw) at the cinema with my friends and there were to old ladies next to me. During this scene and some others they covered their eyes and at the end of the movie they commented on how insipid and bad it was :v:
Sorry but the camera work is just dizzying. I get why its good but the camera work ruins it. Also if this was a mosque you'd bet your ass more people would be vocally offended
