I fucking hate hunters. Unless they're eating the animal it's completely unacceptable and barbaric.

I wouldn't be sad, we have em here in town, i saw one catch, kill, and eat a housecat a few years ago, they're absolute bastards and deserve it.

Like I said, I know they can be absolute pests and they love to kill anything they can eat but they remind me of my dog and it makes me sad when I see shit like this.

You watched it go down but didn't intervene? Also Housecat's suck shit.

If it weren't for hunters, the deer population would reach it's maximum capacity, and instead of deer dying from a quick bullet to the vital organs, they'd be starving to death. Also they're extremely common, and lots of people die in collisions with them every year, just last year i hit one of the motherfuckers with my car, didn't even see it, it only grazed the side of the car, but that was over $3K in damages.

I didn't intervene because i knew the cat was fucked, plus, i'm not getting myself bit and possibly need rabies injections for a while over a cat. Also i was living within city limits, so it wasn't like i could've shot it.

yeah farmers should just let their livestock be in danger

It's one thing to hunt and kill pests, and it's another thing to upload videos of your kills to youtube and act as if it's some kind of glorious event to trick and slaughter a simple creature with advanced technology.
If he killed it with his bare hands, I'd be impressed. But this, this isn't impressive. This is dickwagging.

You honestly think a person would upload a video of him missing dozens of shots on a target and call it dick waving?

Hunting isn't all about the fun and the trophy. It's also about balancing the wildlife. If coyotes don't get killed, they either die of hunger or eat the livestock of farmers.
Of course it isn't fun to see animals get killed, but you can't blame hunters. If you wanna eat meat and live the luxury life you are having now, then this has to happen.
And if you don't like the vid, then don't watch it.
should've left it after they missed the first few shots

They're called hunters for a reason.
I don't really see the point in hunting something you can't actually use and that poses no real threat to you personally, especially since there's nowhere I know of where coyotes are an actual overpopulation issue. AKA "sport hunting" for sport alone - its the entire reason why certain species of wolves are endangered in north america, just because some dude thinks it would be fun to shoot an animal that moves that isn't what they normally shoot.
I've got a co-worker who hunts and his hole family hunts. They generally hunt for for the fun of it but they almost always actually use what they hunt, especially seeing as you can only use guns in the entire hunting season one day out of the year so theres no point in just taking your gun out and shooting everything that moves in the woods. They prefer to hunt with bow/crossbow anyways, since its a more exciting and fun way to hunt.
If I was a hunter I'd never hunt something like a coyote, it just doesn't make sense to me personally. Why would I take a life even if its as insignificant as a coyote, when it gives me no real benefit for doing so (food, fur, safety are generally things you don't gain from hunting coyotes), but only for the quick thrill it provides? It just feels "dirty" to me in the same way that it would feel to kill anything or anyone else for the fun of it would. I guess that's why I'm not much of a hunter though, and I'm pretty sure coyotes aren't endangered so its not like coyote hunting really negatively impacts them as a population (especially since it isn't nearly as popular as other game).

Coyote's aren't THE GLORIOUS BEASTS OF THE SPIRIT FORREST WHO DON'T DESERVE TO BE KILLED, they're pest animals. Coyotes are pest animals; they kill pet animals, live stock, and damage anything they can chew on, including irrigation pipes. It's not very common for them to see them attack a human, but you'll read a news story every now and again about a coyote attacking a small child playing outside.
I'm not going to question the killing of the coyote because I don't know enough
but the whole 'kill of the week' thing rubs me the wrong way

accidentally disagreed, I feel the same way.
I'm okay with hunting and all of that, it's very interesting actually. But be it a dick animal or not you are destroying life, and I think there should be a different feeling there than something on the level of slowmotion killshots and Call of Duty video startup video graphics

Coyotes are considered pests in many places in the Country for good reason. We have family friends that lost a ton of chickens and cats to them before they started actively hunting down the ones that lived around their little farm area. They don't really threaten people, sure, but they're definitely pests that warrant hunting down if they're continuously threatening livestock and pets.

Most hunters have a huge amount of respect for the animals they hunt, hunting solely for sport is usually frowned upon by most.

Then reload the page and click the agree button, silly.
I completely agree with the both of you though.
I can't tell, did it get hit and fall on the last shot? :(
Those who are saying that hunting coyote is dumb have never lived in a rural setting before.
At my parent's place, I grew up on a farm. Coyotes would kill chickens, sick cows, calves, and threaten family pets. They always traveled in fairly large groups here so I would not be surprised if they took on healthy livestock as well in a group. They are pest animals and if you do not control them or make it a point to them that the livestock is protected they will over run your entire operation and you lose livestock...which endangers your ability to survive. Livestock provide you with food and income on a farm.
No, not even an electric fence will keep coyotes out. They are cunning creatures and will find a way around anything.
I think some people need to stop being "AWW BUT THE POOR COYOTE :(" and look at reality.
However;
These guys? These guys are likely sport hunters. There is a difference between sport hunting, standard hunting, and then pest control. Most of the people who film this crap are in it just for sport.
Isn't this less the Coyote dodging the shots and more the guy just being a terrible shot?
At first I read the title as coyote-dodging bullet as in a bullet that dodges coyotes and I was like "WTF? Why?" until my brain kicked in :v:
Terrible hunter and his trigger discipline is terrible. If you're gonna hunt shit at least make sure you do it in one shot and make sure its possible to do it in one shot, this fucker just sprayed.
In his other videos he's waving his gun and bow around like a moron.

Well that's definitely not true. More people who hunt do so for sport than for a practical reason.
It's just that it has side-benefits like population control, and while they do it mainly for sport, a lot of them do eat the animal anyways.
I fucking hate hunters. Unless they're eating the animal it's completely unacceptable and barbaric.
yeah man because overabundance of predators or prey animals totally doesn't exist nope not at all
you never see animals killing too many of a certain group of animals and ending up fucking up the entire forest like you know having an excess of rabbits and ending up completely ruining peoples crops or something or canines killing all of a mans farm animals
never ever happens
fuck the system!

Would you feel any differently if it was a "catch of the week" and it showed fishermen reeling in a several hundred pound tuna or sailfish?
Well that's definitely not true. More people who hunt do so for sport than for a practical reason.

Uh I'm not sure if you just don't know anyone who hunts or what but it is definitely frowned up from all I've seen.
literally every hunter I know talks about how just killing the animal and not putting the hide or meat to use is incredibly disrespectful and a huge waste.
People hunt for the sport of it, yeah, it's enjoyable. But anyone who does it JUST for that is usually not well liked by other hunters.
If you just unload like that you're most likely going to get a hit that will just make the animal suffer. Looks like the coyote took one of those shots towards the end.
Pretty dumb.
