Feels sorta like an ad in disguise
I mean Sprint Vector looks bloody awesome and I can't wait to try it, but lol, this is far from the first polished, fun VR game. Robo Recall, H3VR, Echo Arena, Lone Echo and other shit are great, well made games.
That montage at the start was some true bollocks tbh.
the title is a bit disingenuous when lone echo already exists
Alright, who cracked into the account of Crowbcat?
I saw Jeff from Giant Bomb try this and it seemed janky as FUCK.

Still seems like the same cherry picking over-generalizing clickbaity channel to me.
Why do I feel like I just watched an ad
LMFAO what the fuck, I thought Crowbcat was supposed to be based as fuck. This is literally just a sellout video.
I don't know if i'll consider it a positive video. It basically shits on VR and says at least it finally has one decent game.
If it's meant to sell the game, it's done a pretty shitty job.

Lest we forget Crowbcat created this gem and then deleted it after it stopped getting enough views to warrant the embarassment

The guy is a professional bandwagoner that makes cherrypicking videos for his audience of cynical assholes and it's great to see everyone call him a shill the one time he makes a positive video about something he personally likes

I still think that's a good video tbh. VR is still a long way off. It's an expensive toy.

Except it's not. It's the most cherry picked video in the world and Jeff wasn't too pleased about it.
I mean, Sprint Vector is good, but it's basically VR Mario Kart with polished mechanics and a cool stylized world. I have played many other games that justified my VR headset purchase, most of which have an equal or greater level of polish compared to Sprint Vector.

You can think whatever you want about VR but if I tried to make the argument that all PC games are shit by making a video only showing footage from greenlight shovelware you'd call me a hack
Nothing says polished like all the other racers jittering around violently.

Keywords here guys.

I'm going to assume you don't own a VR, because you'll likely have a different outlook on VR once you get one, I did, I enjoy it, sure I could do with more games to play, the screen resolution could be better (main complaint about it really) but given that's essentially Generation 1 of VR, it's pretty damn good.

With the channel he has, how can anyone believe that he actually likes something, everything he makes is satire, if he says he likes something how do we know he's being genuine or joking? That's what happens when you make what's effectively a joke channel.
I'm surprised everybody has been freaking out so much about Sprint Vector lately. It looks nauseating and annoying to play honestly.

I've played it and I think it's a blast.
The nauseating factor is more of a subjective thing with VR altogether in the same way that people can get motion sickness from just looking at a FPS that has a sub-90 FOV. If you don't have motion sickness and you've got strong VR legs it's really fun.
Some of the best VR games out there will inherently seem really fucking nauseating at first but when you play them the feeling is very different. You'd think a game that's about dragging yourself along surfaces would get boring yet Lone Echo is fucking incredible.

It won't make you nauseated if you don't have any issues with any other VR title with non-teleport movement. As for annoying to play, maybe if you can't maintain a simple rhythm? If you can maintain a rhythm, it flows very naturally ASIDE FROM rocketing. That's my only gripe with the game is that air control drastically reduces speed.
This was the first VR game to make me and one of my brothers vomit, so I guess they got that going for them :v:
What a super crap video, if the game is so fucking good, why do they have to show all that other crap for 2 minutes?
I immediately recall Jet Set Radio and Hover (god, what a dissapointment) but the jittering is concerning and I'm not sure how frantic rollerskating would even translate to roomscale, or if it would even be better than mashing buttons on a controller and watching my guy do the moves on the monitor.
It's a shame assets that nice are being used for this.

Cause it's Crowbcat? It's his schtick. He can't be completely positive about the videogame industry
[editline]13th February 2018[/editline]
Also it provides context and contrast that explains just how positively he feels about the game
Awkward. Hes removed the video
And he just uploaded another one.

I was going to make a new thread but the second half is pretty much the same.
Mirror for OP's video

make toxic videos, get toxic feedback. i don't know what he was expecting honestly.
When I played Sprint Vector, I wasn't feeling too hot about it. (Though I did only play through the tutorial stages to get the basic concept of it).
Playing it makes you look like a complete doofus, it seemed to have a really steep learning curve with all of the shit you had to do (swing your arms around, oh now pull your arms down to jump, oh now you have to drift, hey better get dem powerups :qsex101: )
Oh and it made me feel slightly weird, which has never happened to me while playing in VR
Playing it makes you look like a complete doofus
Counterpoint: You already looked like a complete doofus with the slightly-curved brick you've attached to your face. We all look like doofuses while we're playing VR games because just as there's no way to make a holographic UI (even if you have a tremendous budget and a sci-fi film director making that UI) that you have to sweep your arms over and poke here and there which doesn't look laughable/goofy there's no way to make a VR game not look like you're a mental patient swinging their arms at invisible fairies with an enormous bulbous grey/black forehead and ridiculously recessed chin.
Are you sure the rest of your complaints aren't more or less 'I don't want a workout - I want to play the game in a relaxed manner'? (Note I mean this sincerely - not everybody wants a workout when they play VR games but it is inevitable with some games due to their mechanics)
