I thought this was going to be about fortnite and I was so certain this was a bot post or something
2/3 of my helmets are Snell approved for this reason, car and bike. The other is an o'neal motocross helmet that doesn't see any action that isn't on dirt. Do not make your decision based on price of a helmet, you shouldn't trust your head to the cheapest shit you can find. The two most important qualifications should be fit and quality. I limit my searches to good name brand units with Snell testing certifications, then find what fits. When I got back into motorcycles I initially wanted an Arai, but they were too tight on my temples, AGVs were too tight on my forehead. I wanted a Shoei X11 (my first helmet ever when I was 5 was an X8-Air). but that wan't good either. I eventually ended up going with a Shoei Qwest. on a tangentially related note, the Snell foundation has a really interesting history. William "Pete" Snell was a race car driver in the 50's who died of a head injury from a crash. A group of his friends got together and started the foundation in order to test helmets and assure quality across the industry. Also, that Africa Twin... Mmmmm...
I'm surprised that more people don't know about DOT and manufacturer self-testing. Hell, they cover it in the MSF, which MOST riders in the states take.
