This is from the film "A City of Life and Death" (or Nanjing! Nanjing! original title) if you haven't seen it I recommend you do.
I thought it was fantastic, even thought I was pretty much shell shocked for the rest of the day. This was one of the weird beautiful scenes amidst massacre.

Are they building a village in from dust?
Are they building a village in from dust?
Nope. Notice the title "Victory March". It was a city.
Imperial Japanese Army is really weird sometimes, their very much a "traditional" army
Too bad they had some ass backwards view on technology.
"if it's not broken why fix it?" is a bad thing to live by as a country.
Didn't realize what I was talking about. Rate me box however as it was not a very nice comment.
For those who are curious read below, I'm quoted a couple of times, but I'm sorry.
remix!
Those men fought their fucking asses off.
Wow... that's gotta be just about the most inappropriate comment on a video I've seen lately. "Those men" were the people to commit one of the worst offenses to human rights in history, raping a number close to 20,000 women and murdering many of them brutally.
If anyone's ever wondered if other foreign countries have rednecks the same way the US does - they do. In Japan, the redneck equivalent is people who try to deny things like Nanking existed or support it.
Those men fought their fucking asses off.
I'm going to assume that you know nothing about what happened, because your post is quite disgraceful. Like saying the Nazi's "fought their fucking asses off" after killing the Jews.
and some raped great numbers of women's asses off
Every army raped women during WWII.
those men r such good fighters
four of them can take down single woman!
Every army raped women during WWII.
Did you not hear the number 20,000? There's a big difference between military authorized construction of camps to rape women, and out of line soldiers doing it on their own. This is not just "any other occurrence", this was one of the worst cases of military rape in existence.

Well some call it the Rape of Nanking. But you should really watch the film its fantastic. Sadly a huge number of women were raped literally to death.
Weirdly enough though there was a German there in Nanking who fought to protect the Chinese refugees. Upon writing to German authorities about the atrocities he was asked to return home. A very weird moment when your rooting for the Nazi party member as hes the ''good one'' in all of it.

Camps made to rape women?
:wtc: I never heard of this, time for wikipedia

Well the English translation was called "Comfort Zones". Some Japanese senior officers thought it was a good idea to stop the soldiers becoming unruly. You'd simply go along and pay a couple coin and "have a go".
The disgusting thing was that this was repeated continuously.
Montgomery did that (special military brothels), thing is it was with professional hookers, and it was for health reasons (he didn't want his men getting syphilis, or other STDs like that)
For example, he set up a battalion brothel in Tripoli, Libya during the Second World War, regularly inspected by the medical officer, for the 'horizontal refreshment' of his soldiers rather than forcing them to take chances in unregulated establishments. He was quoted as saying that his men "deserved it"
what the japanese did in nanking/nanjing was WITHOUT consent in the vast majority of cases.
Implying EVERY Nazi and Japanese soldier completely a fully agreed with his leader and wasn't drafted or had to join because of the hard economic times. You people really need to think.

It looked like the Japanese version of West side story.

What
What

Young women from countries under Japanese Imperial control were abducted from their homes. In many cases, women were also lured with promises of work in factories or restaurants. Once recruited, the women were incarcerated in "comfort stations" in foreign lands. Other women were rounded up at gunpoint, some being raped before being herded into "comfort stations".
entire article (read it so it makes more sense)

I'll pass on reading it.
I don't need to know any more.
What
While his statement is wrong in the way he states it, the Japanese did have a detachment of "comfort Women" that consisted of korean/kidnapped women who were hyped up on opium and forced to pleasure soldiers.

Well, yes, if they were a nazi specifically, they likely did support the massacre of the jews. Germans and the German armed forces, absolutely not, but nazis, yes.
And this mentality was very prevalent in Japanese civilization. This was a culture whose idea of existence was the complete domination of the enemy, by whatever mean necessary. A violent culture, who was fully prepared to fly themselves into enemy ships knowingly, to kill themselves rather than admit defeat, to murder, execute and torture the enemy, as simple defeat was not acceptable and the enemy's surrender rarely was.
This nation viewed the populace of China as sub-human animals. Property, not people. They were executed en masse, tortured, tested upon (Unit 731 made Mengele look like a saint), denied food and necessities, raped. And most people in Japan supported it, as destruction of the enemy for the rightful nation of Japan.
So yea, most of them did support the mass rapes, actually. Most of them supported torture and execution.
"The women were often killed immediately after the rape, often through explicit mutilation or by stabbing a bayonet, long stick of bamboo, or other objects into the vagina. Young children were not exempt from these atrocities, and were cut open to allow Japanese soldiers to rape them."
"The International Military Tribunal for the Far East estimated that 20,000 women were raped, including infants and the elderly."
A conservative estimate of 20,000 people were raped. Alongside that, between 200,000 and 800,000 were murdered.
This was a large collective effort on every step of the military ladder of those involved int he occupation of Nanking, as well as the government of Japan who condone and allowed the mass rapes and executions. This wasn't some isolated incident by the Japanese military, nor was it a rogue division, Nanking was the capital of China at the time, and all decisions regarding it were authorized by the government and military.
The Wikipedia page has some nice pictures. There's even fancier ones if you search Google. Women with bottles shoved in their vaginas, infants speared by bayonets, thousands of bodies piled into trenches, mutilated corpses.
So when you try to defend the occupying forces of Nanking, you should realize that you are defending a majority that is murderers and rapists, sadists and loyal imperialists.
