Every damn time he opens his mouth, life feels so meaningful
I don't get why he's such an icon for nerds. He's a cool guy and all but everything he says sounds like he's trying really hard to be Sagan. Which makes this video feel a little ironic to me.
His voice is so smoothning, just like Morgan F.
What a terrible person to try to be like.
Do we need another one? At least Bill Nye has his own unique style. Tyson just rehashes the interesting things Sagan said without the same eloquence. It's just that everyone acts like everything he's said is so new and mind-blowing.

Can we cut out the middleman and just evangelize Sagan's work? I feel like he said everything Tyson has but it all seems much more poignant.

A lot of younger people find Neil deGrasse Tyson easier to relate to because for many of them Carl Sagan was dead long before they had interest in science. Carl has been gone longer than it may feel like, and we have had important breakthroughs sense he died. He passed away when I was three years old and I am a second year college student. Tyson, Nye, Cox, and Kaku are our main scientific proponents now.
Kaku really got me into physics but looking back... he's a bit nutty. [editline]14th November 2012[/editline] But again, Nye, Cox, and Kaku all feel like they have their own distinctive style but every time I watch Tyson, it seems to me like he's aping Sagan.

why does he have to be old now I feel like it would be fun to have this guy talk to me about physics

I fucking hate his guts.
Are you talking about Stephen Fry
Hey now dont diss Mr. Fry. A bit of Fry and Laurie was amazing, as is Qi
Hey now dont diss Mr. Fry. A bit of Fry and Laurie was amazing, as it QI
Oh I know, I love Stephen Fry, but I literally think he's confused Carl Sagan and Stephen Fry.
Are you talking about Stephen Fry
You mean Stephen Hawkings? No I think he's pretty funny.
Oh I know, I love Stephen Fry, but I literally think he's confused Carl Sagan and Stephen Fry.
Oh alright, I thought you were insulting Stephan Fry. Sorry
Stephen Fry squashed a Catholic in the intelligence[sup]2[/sup] debate about the Catholic church a few years ago [editline]14th November 2012[/editline]
You mean Stephen Hawkings? No I think he's pretty funny.
No, I mean Stephen Fry. Hawking. [editline]14th November 2012[/editline] Oh oh or maybe you mean Christopher Hitchens, he was in that debate too and yeah he's pretty arrogant. Carl Sagan is a different guy.
Maybe Richard Dawkins? He is a well known anti-theist and can be pretty arrogant.
Yeah but the debate thing sounds like it's probably Hitchens
Yeah but the debate thing sounds like it's probably Hitchens
I don't know, it seemed like Sagan just intruded some office spaces and there was a woman and they had the most awkward conversation in the history of Universe. [editline]14th November 2012[/editline] And the woman was also hot imo.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFjoEgYOgRo [editline]14th November 2012[/editline] Also, you have strange taste in women.

"An attractive, congenial looking square" That apple gonna rape that square
Think of Sagan like Jesus and Tyson like Paul. Sagan says some far out shit and Tyson translates for larger audiences.
But again, Nye, Cox, and Kaku all feel like they have their own distinctive style but every time I watch Tyson, it seems to me like he's aping Sagan.
Honestly what does that matter? He doesn't need a "style", he's a man who's helping to get people interested in physics and space, he's very inspiring in how enthusiastic he is about whatever he talks about. If he's emulating Carl Sagan that's fine considering Carl Sagan was a pretty awesome mother fucker and now we have him back.
