Yea I just happen to have 30 iPhones laying around. How could I possibly put these to use?
Obviously this guy doesn't know those batteries are prone to exploding under heat and pressure.
donate them or something, sell them, don't fucking smash them
yeah smash 1 that's fine but smash 30, that's just wasted opportunity for others
Oh great lets just needlessly produce more e-waste not like we have enough. I understand his youtube videos get him boatloads of cash to spend buying nice things to destroy but if these were all left over he could've given them to some charity or hell even sold them for cheap on ebay or something instead of just destroying all of them "for te lolz."

unfortunately this is barely a drop in a bucket in a sea of piss
the scale at which these devices are provided & thrown away is numbered in the hundreds of millions, if not more; i do agree this is a stupid video though
They're outdated phones with almost no demand, are probably locked to certain carriers, and most probably have something wrong with them internally if not visible externally. In perfect working condition he'd only make about $3000 off the lot - less if he offers free shipping.
Might be a huge waste of material, but he's probably going to earn more from this than he would have by selling them.

I would sell those for $3000 in a fucking heartbeat
Pretty sure this guy was selected by Apple to preform tests like this and upload the results to youtube.
Most of the channels that have videos such as "Burning/smashing/electrocuting/drowning/exploding (any apple product)" are sponsored/hand picked by Apple and are shipped numerous products very often.
It would probably be against his contract to sell/donate any of these items, because the intended purpose from the beginning was not to be used but to be destroyed.
It's okay guys, he's saving at least 30 people from the horrors of having an iPhone 4.

hes obviously joking about having "30 iPhones just laying around." he probably acquired them from a repair shop or previous owners who bought a newer phone.
these are a few years old and it wouldn't be hard to buy last gen apple tech from people who don't want them anymore.
