Imagine if the PC version will have functional speedometers and rev counters inside vehicles.
iirc someone did this with gta iv
when this hits PC, this will be glorious.
I think I would enjoy playing this game this way.
Even better- the guy that did this did it on a vanilla console. No jtag or RGH involved

It does I believe, it's seen in the PS4 footage trailer.

How you would really like to know? What?

Oh, I just realized what you're saying. "How? I would really like to know."
Imagine if the PC version will have functional speedometers and rev counters inside vehicles.
The Next Gen trailer showed exactly that.

Well they already had GTA4 mods to work from, the file layout isn't that different.

How..?
I got the FPV mod for IV but it doesn't seem to work with 1.0.7.0 sadly. Can't wait to play with this once V's on PC. A few tweaks to the view height are needed here and there it seems, and I imagine the player's head showing up when looking to the sides would get annoying, but other than that it's pretty cool.
Do planes, jets and choppers no longer fly like garbage anymore?
[editline]24th June 2014[/editline]
In the sense of that uncontrollable wobbling thing it did i remember when it launched? I don't have the game myself
I think I would enjoy playing this game this way.
I would if GTAV had an actual crouch button instead of forcing people to rely on the terrible cover system.
Through an informal Skype text-chat, I had a “Q n A” session with XBLToothPik. Apparently, his mod only took “less than 30 lines of assembly code to create” and he originally made the mod to prove a skeptic wrong that such a mod could in fact be created. I don't think a $65 card you install into your console that connects to your mainboard and disk drive through an SD card with the Xbox 360 Boot files which is then used to run game emulations without a disk can be considered "Vanilla"

As far as I know yeah the choppers are still like that, but I was wondering if it's tied to the flying skill. That said I've only played a couple hours of V
From the video it seems like you can't even do barrel rolls in the planes, is that true?
the wobbling decreases as your flying skill stat rises, and at maximum skill, you only have to compensate for gradual wind currents
you can do barrel rolls, just tilt the stick left or right and hold it
This makes me wonder why GTA isn't first-person in the first place. It's glorious
this should have been a cheat anyway with more work put into first person animations, it looks so cool
Sorry but as much as I enjoy a first person open world sandbox, putting the camera inside the players face takes 2 seconds to do. These 'first person' mods everyone comes out with are effortless gimmicks.
Give me a real first person mod where I don't see any body clipping whatsoever. Make a seamless transition from first to third person when I enter and exit cover. That'll take some skill and then it'll be deemed worthy of an actual mod.

God I think with all the when this hits pc comments people will still be saying it after it comes out.

Running from the cops would be good exercise.
[editline]25th June 2014[/editline]
Strap that thing on, get an oculus and wiimote, set a daily exercise plan of "piss off the cops till 3 stars, and run from the docks to sandy shores"
