What the hell is it with cops shooting people -videos?

Sounds like one of those cops that joined for the power aspect.

It's a shame that only a tiny fraction of police end up being power happy like this guy and getting in the news. All the public ever sees from news sources are "bad cops" which only ends up stereotyping the entire police force effort. When was the last time you saw a video of a cop saving someone or something in the news? You don't, because our media only focuses on the juicy stuff that gets peoples attention. A drunk police officer runs into a biker and kills him. Here in Indy, this has been all over the news. It kind of worries me, because even though what this officer did was horrible, what people are seeing is how the police force is filled with horrible cops who go out and kill people on a daily basis. Most of the time, I never see a case appreciating the work of the academy. Not ones that get this much publicity.

We have maybe one or two GOOD cops out of the entire rest of the force here. Not to mention the amount of money that goes into keeping them out of our high school for fear of finding a ton of illegal substances.

Maybe a bit triggerhappy, but as long as he aimed for the tires(and hit them) then I don't see a big problem here. EDIT: Funny, now I sort of disagree with my own opinion. Unless there's more to this, then he should have rather chased after him instead.

You honestly think it's ok to shoot something if you don't intend to kill it? Adding on to that, I've bet you have never fired a gun in your life. You don't have a neat little cross hair in the center of your vision to show where the bullets will land and chances are if you fire rapidly your bullets will be spread out more.
