Did he really eat half that can of peanut butter
He did one from 1951 as well.
this is super interesting for some reason :v: I like seeing the old cans with how they open, and how they preserved the food. Those crackers look extremely tasty though...
"Man I hope I don't get botulism from this, I don't have health insurance, and that could really suck" :v:
"man eats historical artifact" more at 11 Also, I love how incredulous he is of this, like Can Technology is pretty much as perfect as it was when it was invented in the 19th century
I mean it's not like we're in short supply of these old rations.
i sure hope he puked it up after the video
I really wanted to see the accessory pack.
is that just static in the background or is it rain, either way it soothing as fuck for some reason.
Canned food for some reason is really interesting to me. Guess that includes MREs. I've never really eaten any canned food, but I'm curious as heck to see if any of it is good.
By all means, you should try things like cheeseburger or whole chicken in a can. What he has here looks mostly okay because it's dry and still recognizable as food. And on a side note, I can't say that I'm too surprised that peanut butter can last that long and still remain okay.
Isnt this like vandalizing museum tier history or something
I think the immortal peanut butter is the only thing worth being museum tier here :v: everything else is bleach-infused garbage.
is that just static in the background or is it rain, either way it soothing as fuck for some reason.
Some form of brownian noise, soothing to some people. I get anxious from it.
End times survival: Shit ton of jam and peanut butter.
Just started watching these MRE/RCI videos recently, and they're so damn interesting for some reason, why do I enjoy watching random strangers tasting horribly spoiled food?
I expected this video to be from Ashens.
This guy's shaking is making me uneasy
Isnt this like vandalizing museum tier history or something
Eh. I know this guy. He's big on MREInfo.com His thing is he gets multiples of rations. He'll find one in mint condition, save it and send it to a museum and damaged/incomplete rations and stuff he'll open, document them with pictures and than do a video on them and post them on MREInfo for reference on what was in them and the details. I noticed a lot of videos like this only sample the foods but never the accessories. I wanna know what a 60 year old tinned cigarette tastes like.

i'm so used to ashens taking little bites off everything, this guy just eats whatever
He smokes a few in other videos. They apparently hold up quite well according to him.
Yeah I just watched him smoke 50 year old Lucky Strikes. But it looks like he didn't really smoke them since he didn't inhale, which is where a majority of the taste comes from. I've always wanted to try some. I know they're still made but I haven't been able to find any in the US. But it looks like they're definitely sold, just depends widely on where you are. I wonder how different cigarettes from back then are compared to now? I know it's just a plant rolled up in some paper but then again, all cigarettes you can get now are like that and a lot of them taste and feel totally different from others.
Watching his vids made me hungry af
Does the accessory packet contain a can opener inside the can?
MREs are actually suprisingly decent, I dunno about 60+ year old ones tho
He didn't need to worry about botulism from the can of jam - botulinum is an obligate anaerobe, since the can was cracked open any botulinum would have died decades ago. The peanut butter, though... possible. Unlikely but possible - I imagine the army did good QC, and it's not hard to do canning right.

They really tried to put all the everyday comforts into cans didn't they? I'm impressed that they put in the effort. Would of thought they would of stuck with the stuff that's less prone to going bad. However then again these videos are like 60+ years after when they were manufactured
he looks like shaggy
